i just love this game - best Solo RPG since BG2.

There is nothing wrong with the combat IMO, its very challenging and stays true to the old BioWare RPG's. That poster is probably too use to 'action RPG' games like Oblivion or Diablo 2.

Sadly I don't care much for turn-base.

Still, X-play gave it a 5/5, can't be bad.

I just hope the "evil guy career" is good.

Imo in games where you can choose to do good or bad, it always leans way more to the good side.

Being greedy and intimidating actually is quite lucrative. I feel like I've passed up on quite a few rewards by trying to be polite and kind.

I would -highly- recommend that you get this game for PC and not PS3 or Xbox. Not only are the graphics superior but managing your party during combat is a lot easier. As someone mentioned before me it feels like a 3D Baldurs Gate / Baldurs Gate 2. In my opinion it is probably the best RPG to come out in years.

Dragon Age :Origin

Is simply the best single player game I have ever played and I am into less thant 12% of the game.

Don't play it or play it, it's no skin off my nose, but I thought our chitchat clan would like to know. This game is splendid.

The only thing ea touched was some online registration point/forum thang, it needed work, but claimed it was a beta.

The game: No Spoilers but the writing is as good as anything I have read in years (cryptonomicon by neal stephenson good).

I am saying its 9.9 (-.1 for ea's touching the forums)

Go to one of your friend's house who has it, then you will be driving to buy it.

I got this game last night and I have to say the character customization and dual classing is fun. The specs make it rewards in combat. This game isn't all killer no filler though.

Between moments of combat where you bathe your party in blood is a compelling storyline. Sometimes a bit obvious but the players ability to decide how things are done is compelling.

I definitely give this game a 9.5/10...it mixed it up a little from the usual type of game a play. There is very little I can imagine doing to improve this game without taking away from the experience and its intentional approach to RPGs
