I am playing Dragon Age Origins. Taking a little break from Aion for that game.

Still my love is MMOs, and will be playing Aion (the only decent MMO on the market currently) till a MMO I have been waiting for swtor.

hes another person crying that the pc version doesnt have dedicated servers.

in reality it makes little to no difference to the game, adn the matchmaking offers for more improvemnts than it removes.
PC gamers just hate change, and cry whenever anything simililar to console design is implemented.

not me though, i play consoles too but im getting the pc version as its still superior, still awesome, and i dont give a damn about dedicated servers.

CoD Modern warfare one was more then enough to appeal to my want for console systems .... gold cross was a nyerk to get.

I'm gonna pirate MW2, play the singleplayer campaign and then delete it. No dedicated servers = no money from me. Godamn Infinity Ward, you did so well with MW1 and now you drop this crap on us PC gamers.

no dedicated server = 9999ms
no custom map = moar money for map pack

Matchmaking system = uncontrolable ping, long waiting times, no mods, compulsory DLC (forcing you to pay more), matchmaking system based on skill (skill cannot be determined on an fps) etc etc...

ive been playing online games since dial up 56k modems where the norm, when dedicated servers and seletable lists where a nescesity for playable games. since the adoption of broadband i have spent just as much time playing P2P console games online as PC dedicated games.
i have NEVER had ping issues, or latency issues down to anything more than my own internet. you are auto paired with games with low latency, so it makes no difference if a person or a server is hosting. it still has to go through YOUR internet connection, which is uaully the weakest link in the chain.

long waiting times? quickmatch puts you into a game far quicker than you could locate a server to do the same thing.

no mods? fair enough, alot of people may be bummed by that. but im buyinf MW2, not ultralolzombiedisasterislandadventure mod. i dont care about them, i never use them.

compulsory DLC? no, dlc is never compulsory. if you dont want extra maps, dont buy them. PC games have been getting this stuff free until now, but that wont continue. and i dont think its unfair for devs to ask for money for stuff they have created after the games launch.

matchmaking is only determined on skill if you want ti to be. you can just as easily play a non ranked game (no matchmaking), and play against random people, make friends and join them in the future with a bunch of other peopel of varying skill levels.

like i said. people nyerk and moan for no good reason. people who've never played P2P online games say it sucks having never experienced it.

if you dont want to buy the game, thats fine. but i dont liek peopel coming to forums, spouting BS and discouraging other people form getting what will no doubt be an awesome game.
