The Fabled Amusement Park

This is a cool story... bro.

I've been to a lot of amusement parks. Many different types also. Ones that have a lot of characters and parades and others which focus on the rides. There were others that had water rides and focused on those. Others that had haunted houses and my favorite, the ones who had big awesome roller coasters. Some of them have race tracks where you can see demolition derby's or drag races.

Once I went to an amusement park where they introduced this new awesome section of the park with tons of new rides. It was advertised on TV and in brochures that this was the latest and greatest things of all amusement parks. I went to the park JUST to experience that part of the park, however when I went there, it was out of service and closed off to the public. I spoke to management about it saying that it was the reason I was there. They pushed me off and said that there was more in the park to see.

So, I went around the park and wasn't amused. There was nothing new there that I felt was worth the ticket I purchased. Nothing new that I couldn't do at other amusement parks and nothing that made this particular park, interesting. After informing management and being pushed off, I asked for a refund. However I was turned down. I was very disappointed and my experience at this park was very discouraging however, I told them that I would be happy to return someday if the rides and section was up and running. They still gave me no compensation for the false advertisement.

Quite a few people I've seen who have been to a couple amusement parks tell me that one is better than another. They say, this one is awesome over another because of the food, or the characters or the rides. However, what these people fail to realize is that amusement parks are designed for a single purpose, to entertain and amuse. Heck, it's part of the name! Amusement parks are fun, one may be better for one person who likes roller coasters and Ferris wheels, while the other one will be awesome because it's got haunted houses and water rides. However, if one's got rides which are broken, I'll inform a manager and probably not ride them for a bit. Some of the people at that amusement park might be enjoying the food court or the games section, so they don't really understand that the rides, like roller coasters and haunted houses are broke.

My favorite people are the ones who haven't been to a particular amusement park, then tell me that it sucks. Or the ones who walked into the door and see one or two things they don't like and try to make an informed decision on how bad or good it is from just walking in. While the first impression is important, some parks best rides are hidden or in the back.

The thing that really bothers me though...

Because I was unhappy with my experience and I share it, the ones who went to this park and didn't care about that new section get mad at me when the reason I went there, the reason that amusement park was advertised is broken. People now get very upset with me and call me names because of this. They tell me to go back to the old amusement park and that I should be happy that I spent my money on a ticket to a park that isn't complete. They say I shouldn't complain or that I shouldn't have an opinion.

Actually those people just share a different opinion than you. They liked the new park and while it could stand some work they want to go back and keep enjoying it. Yet you can't understand why they would because you hated it so much, and it irks you. You feel you must keep voicing your opinion till they do. But they won't. Yet still you try. You can't rain on their parade, maybe you should just try another amusement park and let them enjoy that one.

OP, TL;DR.

Stop the whine and move on.

You don't like the game or the way things are being run move on.

Rome wasn't built in a day and Aion isn't going to be perfect overnight. Theres plenty of games to choose from and this one is innovative and unique in ways. I like it, flaws and all.

I don't hate Aion and the point of this post not only flew over your head, but you fit the description of exactly my problem with this game's community.
