Really isn't much to vote for really. I'm voting McCain for the simple fact that Obama's reign over America would cost me money.

Again, sad but true, on both accounts. Id vote Libertarian (which is what I am) if I thought Bob Barr had a chance. >.> I dont like him calling our troops "occupiers" but he's better than the other two.

Sometimes I wonder if Beiden is trying to not get Obama elected, and if McCain is trying to get Obama elected... Would be hilarious (in a morbid sense), if neither of them got enough votes to get elected.

Astute observation, a long time ago in the 80's when I was a little girl my grand parents would often say how the US government is pre selected, the president is not really elected, he's chosen and people are just driven to vote for him. No idea what the heck they were talking about, until about 10 years ago. Hey and if it doesn't work, you can always fix the vote..

Paranoid conspiracies aside, why does it take so long for you people to vote? Up here we had time to wrap up our debates and re-elect same old silly premier and you're still going at it? :P Inquiring minds want to know.

Seriously though, most Americans think it's ridiculous how long it takes anymore as well. I've actually been seriously considering just going on a very, very long vacation...until things get straiten out a little bit over here.

I think Obama is trying to bore people into submission. This is the longest campaign in US history. I wish I could move to another country when/if he gets into office... let the Stupid-americans see just what they wanted so badly. *sigh*

Anyway, I need to go to bed so I can get up for my dead-end job in the morning. lol

The reason it takes so long is because they have to make them into celebrities. We've got the fox news of elections, complete with the pre-determined outcome. Of course when it comes time to vote to the politicians that really make a difference (the house and senate), we're too busy being force fed Britney Spear's new scandal or why we should be concerned about how bad fast food is. Mixed with a mostly locked two party system and don't expect to ever see any good change in the government.

Me? I'm looking to get the hell outta here.
