Today I...
Got up, drank some orange juice (some pulp), used the bathroom, combed my hair straight, ate some Lucky Charms in front of my PC, went to go get my paycheck at Publix, got to drive the car home (yay for late permits), and mowed the lawn.
Then I got on my bike, rode couple miles to my bank, deposited my paycheck, rode a couple more miles to B&N, checked the magazine racks for any reference to Aion (found that European PC Gamer issue with "Aion: Farcry meets Guildwars" line on the front), went to go check the manga/comic/sci-fi/gameguides section for anything new, came back and... MAH BIKE WAS GONE. Stolen. So I called the police. They said they'd call me back in about an hour, so I walked across a six-lane street, bought some sweet/spicy beef jerky, walked a couple miles to the bike shop, looked at a Schwinn Fastback ($700, I've only got $900 in my savings account), walked a few more miles to a convenience store, bought a bottle of 7-Up, walked a few more miles to my friend's house, walked to my house with him, got on the PC, and showed my friend S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and C&C3. My dad called, I told him about my bike. Surprisingly, he didn't 'splode. My mom came home, 'sploded over the footprints I left on the tile in the kitchen. My friend walked home, I mopped the kitchen, got back on the PC, played more C&C3. Then I ate some pizza, played GH2 for my 360, played more C&C3, ate dinner with my family (rice, fish, frozen vegetables), then went to some religious services (veneration of the cross). All the while you guys frolicked on AionSource.com. Police still haven't called me back. So, how was your day? |

I didn't lock my bike up. I left the lock and chain in the bag handing from the seat. I trusted the world not to steal it. Screw society. It's twisted. I can't even leave my bike out without it getting stolen. Lame.
So I'm buying an expensiver (word?) one that I'll feel bad about getting stolen, so I'll lock it up all the time. ![]() Anyhow, can any of you people remember exactly what you did today? |

Hey at least you learnt a lesson. Let's say your stolen bike got run over instead of being stolen. You might have bought a new, more expensive (lalala =P)bike, left it alone for 5 minutes without a lock and boom new bike gone as well =|
My friend left his bike outside one of my old tutor's apartment. 2 hrs later he came back and it was gone. He had to walk home at 8:30pm ;| heh. the suburb I come from has been known for stabbings, fights, and robbery. Bad reputation x_x My day? It's only 1:30pm at the time of the post...no nothing much happened. >< Breakfast, then homework. Lunch soon x_x Im spending my weekend great! Watching 300 with 18 of my mates on Monday though ![]() |

Hmmm, sorry to hear that it got stolen man.
But honestly, never visit Holland then, atleast not with a bike. Because this country is so flat there is ALOT of people going with bikes, it's super normal over here. And therefore a stolen bike is very common, even if you lock it with a big chain + regular locks. I have had 2 bikes in the last 3 year stolen now and had my tires cut(with a knife or something) twice in 5years or so. That's just a thing I really don't like about Holland. =/ Edit: On top of that my dad's bike got stolen 3 times in the past 2 years and my mom had her motor-thingy(No clue how you'd call that in english.) stolen last year and had a bike stolen aswell. today went to work on good friday (yippy!) pretty normal day, been working with everyone around me for almost a year (web department) everyone pretty kool and we all do our jobs, everyone does a good job in their part. I kinda have duo'd with my fellow co-worker that works right next to me.
We always chillin, making jokes, laughing and of course designing, pretty kool, then our boss calls us into a progress report meeting, we go like ussual, he says: "Crunshii (using my nick :P) you first" So I go first and report all my work done so far, some minor details here and there, he says: "ok get better at that stuff, you can go" I go back to my desk, its 6pm, were about to dip work, my co-worker comes back, and says he was fired, hes packing his stuff and cant talk to me >_<; I was like... wth... but as proffesional worker you cant ask those things or get involved...so I felt like **** and idk if i should start looking for a new job or not... so much for good friday =/ |

sorry to hear that, Mark (and Crunshii
). stolen bikes were pretty common when i was in college, and my brother has had his stolen a couple times where he goes to school right now. it's an epidemic and it can get really annoying/expensive.quick story about another stolen bike. my brother's roommate had his bike stolen while on campus. he had it chained and locked and everything, the thieves had bolt cutter with them and literally cut the chain and lock in half to take this bike. there was some kind of distinguishing mark on the bike, so the could tell it from other bikes of the same type on campus. anywho, about a week later my brother is walking out of class and he sees a bike like his roomies chillin outside his building. he checks it out and, you guessed it, it was his bike! so like a good citizen, my bro stole it back and rode it home. i refer to him as a vigilante, which isn't really correct but sounds pretty cool. i guess the lesson is that there is still some hope that you're good ol' bike may make it back to you one day!__________________ Live and die with grace. I don't think I've ever heard of a bike being stolen whilst unattended o_O It seems like a lot of effort to pack bolt cutters when you could just carry a knife and mug someone for it (and that way you don't have to wait for it to be left alone). Well anyway, that sucks and I'm sorry to hear about it
I'd be afraid to get a new bike in case that got stolen or vandalised XD Crunshii do you have any contact details for your friend? It sounds kind of weird that he was forbidden from talking :S I hope your boss had a good reason. Today I woke up at 11:30, which was a reasonably nice lie in (I've been enjoying these over my easter break :P), turned on some TV, watched some Scrubs, went down stairs and made some breakfast (Shredded Wheat followed by two slices of doorstop jam toast ^-^), watched more Scrubs for like an hour and a half, tidied up my kitchen a bit, went upstairs, probably watched some more Scrubs, got dressed and brushed my teeth, packed my stuff for the gym, walked to the gym, found the gym to be closed (I got there at 2:30 and they were shutting at 3:00 so no one else was allowed in I guess), most likely because of the easter weekend, walked home (only takes about a minute), messed around on Civ IV for a bit, checked some forums, had a shower, and now I'm writing this :P Next I will go downstairs and cook a pizza, eat it, then sit around for a while twiddling my thumbs until it's time to go to work. Then I'll go to work, and most likely be there 'til about 12:30 because it's the bank holiday weekend so everyone will be out on the ****, and because tonight one of the people I'm working with is a lazy bastard so it increases everyone else's workload. Then I might sit in the garden and have a couple of beers, and try and decide which university to go to in September (I don't have long left to choose ). |

Today I got out of bed, got dressed and went to Rotterdam to get my stuff for the marathon next Sunday. Came home, made some phone calls for my work. Some guy came to pick up a package. I decided to call it a day (for my work). Prepared some hot dogs, ate them. Then I had to give Judo-lessons to some children. Prepared and ate my diner. Pasta for the third day in a row. You need your carbon-hydrates if you want to run a marathon. Then decided to call my mother to ask at what time I am to be present at my grandmothers funeral tomorrow. So for the first time in my life I am not looking forward to my weekend. It is going to be a tough weekend with big ups and downs.
