Question Cleric Questions

First off id like to say i just signed up and am anxious for a new MMO. I have been playing crappy free korean mmo's for few months. Im really liking Aions gameplay and really like the healing mage here. I have a few questions that i cant seem to get answered from all the videos or wiki's.

1) Beneficial party buffs? Limited for Cleric? or just for Chanter? Chanter = similar to Bard?

2) Raise,Rez,Ressu,R3 - Available?

3) General big list of spells, quite a bit of types of heals? Nice target buffs? Cant tell really

4) Debuffs, available? Monster related? Seeing as the Warlock class would focus on PVP debuffs.

These are just things i thought about when watching the Cleric's videos. Im pretty sure these cover what i dont see or have read about. Looking for other healers and future clerics to help out here. Thanks!

A) They'll have some buffs, but they'll be less effective than a Chanters, and I think they only have single target buffs, while chanters have full party.

A) Yes, there is a Ressurection type spell for both Cleric's and Chanters.

A) They have various heals, a few single target, a few heal over time, and a party heal. Their target buffs aren't as good as the Chanter's, but they have a few. (I think one is Increase in Atk and the other is Increase in Def, or something.)

A) They have a few stuns, but as for debuffs I'm not sure.

Thank you for the information answers pretty well. Am a little worried about lack of beneficial buffs but i guess we'll see. Still awaiting a video of ingame cleric would like to see that. Chanter is sounding quite interesting now, ill have to look into that class.

Thanks again for the post i approved!

Another question, Ive heard Clerics were using Plate armor, is that true? o_o I know they are wearing shield, but their own armor sets will be Plate/chain/leather or cloth?
Thanks in advance!

Hmm, they may be able to use stigmas to get better armor but I'm not sure.

In most games that title the healer a cleric (i.e. Eq,VG,DDO) all followed the traditional mold of the Dungeons and Dragons cleric using plate armor, a mace/hammer and a shield. Just from ingame shots and movies it looks like NC is doing the same which is great!

Hi, I wanted to make another thread for this question, but since there's a thread already, I'll go on here.

From watching one of the class presentations with the Cleric class, I saw the class with some sort of servitor / pet dealing damage to the mob along with the priest.

Here's what I'm curious about:

1. Is it an active skill that goes on like a toggle?
2. Just a spell that shows some sort of summon dealing damage once before disappearing waiting to be used again?
3. Or is it an actual pet / servitor that stays with you until it's killed or you un-summon it?

Thank for your time in reading this. =)

Based on the skill trees, Clerics will be able to solo mobs at any level and not like the healers who could only solo undead mobs (with reasonable efficiency) past level 20. The skills used are mainly nukes.

However, due to the magic attack stats of the Cleric being lower than Sorcerers/Spiritmasters, they will lose out to the actual nukers during PvP (and as a result their soloing being less effective than a nuker class).
