Why are you going to pick Cleric?

I've always played main healer and I'd like to think that I am very good at it (people say I am)...
I love watching health bars go up with crit heals. I think the main reason though, is that it makes me feel needed, helpful, and useful.

Anywho, despite the fact people think healing gets redundant, it is the best when you are faced with those critical moments and kick the competition.

EQ2, Obelisk, stupid warlock in pug pulls like every nightblood around with aoe...he gets smashed to pulp, looks like the group is about to fall and everytime one is dropped...battle is torn between the tank and scout..so I'm having to juggle heals between them, and the casters for everytime they get hit by an aoe...and we won, sans warlock btw 8-)

I respect all the good healers. I tried healing in GW, but its just waaaaay to troublesome for me. Lets hope the healing here is good too.

The paladins in wow are a lil diff then usual.

In general a healer is a mage clas in robe.

-Mage class =Low hp big mana pool
-Robe = lowest pdef of all types ( heavy > light > robe)

meaning you do take big hits, But you can heal yourself.
That's how you kinda make up for that.

A healer in Heavy armor with big hp big mana pool would be imba.

So thats MMO 1o1 that cost you 20 dolla meng.

I think the fact they gave priests better armor is from the knowledge that the healer will always be the first one targeted in PvP.
The "mage" type priests are created for PVE, because a mob will stay on the tank (if that one knows his job of course ).

So since this is PvPvE, I guess they wanted to give use healers a chance to survive in the Abyss, which I give a big round of applause ^_^
I hated to do PvP with my priest in WoW, with the amount of defense I had, I felt like I was standing there naked ! Even the shield you could put up ( I forgot the name) was useless if a rogue or mage spotted you.

Yeah I know healers are squishy in general, but the picture I had gotten of cleric was basically like medium kind of armor with 1h and shield providing powerful heals and won't be 1-2 shotted. Are they really going to wear the worst armor in game? :P

edit: the reason Im wondering is that Ive been considering cleric for a while now (Im used of playing healing classes) but after playing a priest in WoW for years and gotten frustrated over the PVP part as a priest (useless CC, low armor, bad mana efficiency - the list could go on).

if cleric is going to resemble the priest class in WoW Im pretty sure Ill give it my hand and say no ty ^_^

I wouldn't count on it. This is a korean company with multiple PVP based systems under it's belt, not blizzard. That and the fact it's being created with PVP in mind (not an afterthought) will give it a much different flavor than WoW ever had.

thats what im hoping for. being a healer is fun but being a healer wearing nothing but paper-ish armor isn't ^_^

pvp points an l2 are nothing but e-pen0rz, but there should be a system that allows healers to get abyss points or whatever based on their healing
