Why are you deciding to play a squishy support class?

For me, it's all about the PvP aspect of playing a healer. Healers are often not played right in PvP. Most of the time, the really competitive PvP players pick the more offensive class. I'm not saying that all people that choose a healing class suck at PvP. I'm just saying some of the people that play a healing class play it because they think it's easy, but playing a healer right in a mass PvP situation is not easy, deciding who gets the next heal can be rather hectic and can be the deciding factor in winning, or losing.

I do agree. In a mass pvp game where people (i mean DPS) are not retards, the healer is the human meatshield even if it should, by the natural laws of nature, be the guy standing next to you with a shield sizing 3 times your head and wearing 500 pounds of armor.

To be honest, i think the 2 most interesting classes to be played in a mmorpg on the long run are tanks and healers.
Tanks because they are needed for raids, parties, and if PvP mechanics are good it could be a really enjoyable class to play.
Healers because indeed, they keep people alive and play a master turning in a mass PvP healing and mostly rezzing to keep the advantage.

I think one of the reasons why it's good to play one these two classes in the first place too, is because they will be underplayed (or played like shi_t) compared to DDs (They always are in mmorpgs). It makes it easier to get groups, friends, belong to a clan/guild/alliance whatever you call it. If you think about it the future game patches will certainly add subclass systems, or tertiary jobs, skill mixing between classes or anything imaginable to make the experience better for everyone.

Of course, you can always have a ranged DPS class alt just to kill off people, even if that sounds like I need medical attention, it sometimes can be almost orgasmic to pi_ss people off. (that censorship thing is annoying).

I've always been fond of healing and iv alway's been told i do a great job at it so i stick to what im good at, plus the up close and grittyness of combat isnt my style of play

I see more challenging being healer or tank classes where in most cases ur party depends on ur skill and I love when people recognize u as a good healer, another thing is tyically healers are welcome in parties and apreciated so you dont have to wait too long for parties.
Always played main healer class on every MMO I played and Ill follow the tradition this time, of course :=)

Well I've always played healers, I guess it makes me feel needed, and useful. ^_^0
I feel really useless if I'm sitting there killing something while my friends die..

Also, I typically always have a damage dealer attached to my hip.(Boyfriend likes melee classes) ^_^<3 Plus being a female I can multi-task really well, so heals, damage, debuffs, etc I can do consistently and constantly. :]
At least, thats the excuse boys give me when they aren't as good at a support class as me. ^_^
