Wild Ginseng Locations

Does anyone know where this can be gathered from?

Cooking: Wild Ginseng Pickle - - Aion

All I'm able to find is the quest nodes for the level 47 quest in brustonion...

Has to be gatherable though.

Anyone seen it?

Wild Genseng is a rare drop off of other nodes. One sec I'll look up which ones in particular, and the % chance to drop.

-------------------------

Hmm can't seem to find the source of it at this point. I remember someone mentioning it was a 2% drop or something off a particular plant of some sort.

According to Aion Database is has a 5% chance to drop from Grobule. I haven't personally verified it yet, but I hope that I will soon.

Oddly enough, the ginseng drops from the grobule nodes in Brosthonin, but not the grobule nodes in Beluslan.

The ginseng is currently on the broker for 7.5k ea on fregion currently, but I havent seen them actually sell yet.

I'm also wondering what to price the pickles at.

If nobody else is selling them yet I'd charge a fairly high price, especially at that ingredient cost.

Anyone know why you can morph the Elyos equivalent materials but there is no morph for Ginseng?

This is true i can confirm it. I think it has something to do with Brushtonian created after 1.5. got like 100 in belusian and 0 Wild ginseng, only healing roots. Then in Brusthonian I got like 7 out of 130. Its very rare

So Wild Ginseng is a 5% drop from a plant node? This seems extremely unfair for the Asmodians. Now that Elyos are starting to get into the late 40s I'm seeing lots of Calydon Meat on the broker at very affordable prices for an entrepreneuring cook like myself... so much in fact that I'm starting to not buy up the massive lots I'm seeing at very cheap p/u prices. When I'm looking at lots of 500 Calydon Meat at 500 kinah p/u and thinking 'Nah, I don't need anymore, the last lot I got was half that price', and Asmodians are talking about paying 6.5k p/u... that's messed up.

I now have so much I'll be able to keep producing crit food for a long time to come. At the kind of p/u price suggested earlier in the thread, and given the somewhat difficult drop rate from a high-level node, I'd say this makes things awfully unbalanced.

NCSoft likes to randomly do unbalanced things like that. I'm not going to write a whole long post about it, but there are tons of situations similar to this if you do some research that clearly favor one side or the other.

It's okay. Cooked Ginseng sells for 20-25 a piece so the profit margin is pretty nice. Supply is pretty low though since Grobule is 370 vitality.

It depends how much you can sell really. Its a rare product so that's likely to up the price of course but if you can only sell 20 units a day, and the Elyos equiv. sells 50 a day, its possible that the Elyos player will turn a larger profit due to being able to sell in larger bulk. Worse still, the Elyos war machine would have 2 1/2 times the amount of crit food at its disposable compared to the Asmodian war machine.

Perhaps, though, there is a nice imbalance somewhere on our side that counters this.
