Hey there I have a question for all the cooks/chefs who have done the 399-400 quest:
How does this compare to the 399-400 crafting quests (to the best of your knowledge) of the other crafts in terms of kinah expenses and time? : ) I'm deliberating halting alchemy and doing some cookin'! __________________ baby si tu savais comme tu m'fais du bien |

A French Aggie? Oo
Anyway, I haven't done alchemy on my main or alt so I can't speak for it, but: the 399-400 test for cooking is way easier than the test for weaponsmithing or armorsmithing. Cooking Expert: Do a workorder, create a bunch of tasty (HQ) white-recipe dishes (4 different recipes, 10 of each type of dish - 40 total items), create a bunch of tasty (HQ) green-recipe dishes (again 10 of each type of dish, from 4 different recipes - 40 total items). Weaponsmith: Do a workorder, proc a white greatsword recipe to green, proc a higher level green sword recipe (which requires you already have a crit-procced sword) into a blue. Armorsmith: Do a workorder, proc a white recipe to green, proc a green shield recipe into a blue. ---------- IMO, the major hurdle for the non-cooking expert tests are the cost of the raw materials. With preminum weapon and armor fluxes going for at least 700k each on my server atm (on a good day!), it gets pricy fast. Most of the material for the cooking expert test should be commonly available on the AH by now. But YMMV. On my server, I would say the cooking expert test would cost ~200k-300k to *complete* if you were to buy all the comps from the AH. While armorsmithing and WS would each cost about 4-7 million per *attempt* at the final test if you were to buy everything from the AH. __________________ Hi. ^^/ I'm a lifeform from another dimension. Cooking is the only craft of the char I made 399 cooking with. I got the Governor's supper workorder done, and then I am asked to do the Expert Test. I cannot find this test anywhere.
