Expert Cooking Title?

Does anyone know the details of how to obtain the title, or whether or not it exists? I keep hearing two different stories. One says that you have to do all these quests, and you eventually wind up getting the title for cooking.

The second story is that they removed titles for individual crafting, and that you now have to become an expert in 2 crafts, and then you just get the title.

Does anyone know which is true? If it's the first one where you have to do quests, where do the quests start?

I got expert HC yesterday and did not get a title. I did however get a shiny new hat!

After you get 449 you need to get another craft up to 399 and then do the [Top Expert] quest for that one, still trying to get my tailoring top expert quest done right now after getting 449 cooking but from what I've seen on all the sites I'll end up getting the title Top Expert, not sure about if it will say cooking or tailoring, once I get the stupid worthy prem armor fluxes I'll find out >_> But yeah, no title unless you get a second craft to expert level, and you can't do the expert quest for another craft unless you hit 449 in one first(I've confirmed this with a guild mate that is expert tailoring and 399 weaponsmith and it won't let him do weaponsmith quest yet cuz hes not 449 tailoring). Hope that helps someone~

Thanks for the info guys. Any idea what stats the Top Expert title gives, on Elyos side?

I'm trying to figure out if it's even worth it :P

There is no 450+ as far as I know, 449 is max. As well just got Expert Tailoring so now I have the Top Expert title It totally sucks but it's still a cool accomplishment, first one to have it on my server, maybe any server o.o who knows.

Actually no, its not hard if you do cooking as that is the joke of all crafts to get to 400. Tailoring and Armor Smith being 2nd easiest. On the other hand Alchemy, Handicraft and Weapon Smith as by far the most difficult. Seeing how you need Prem Weapon Fluxes, and Worty Prem Weapon Fluxes, and have to make a crit of crit, add the fact that Prem fluxes are like 500k each and worthy are over a mil each and it has to crit twice... yeah ok.

Honestly the title should be different depending on what crafts you master because there is nothing top about getting expert in the two easiest crafts. Accomplishment none the less but not the hardest expert duo by a landslide. My opinion.

On my server worthy prem armor fluxes are 1.5m each, so yeah armor is not at all the easiest. In the matter of actually getting to 400 all crafts are the same, work order is easy and relatively cheap just takes time. Handicraft and alchemy are just as easy and cooking test imo and thats what the expert craftsman in my guild say as well. So tailoring and armorsmith on my server are by far the most difficult due to mats being way overpriced, lucky my guild has a bunch of lvl 50s to gather mats so it makes it easier for me Just because cooking is the easiest doesnt mean other crafts are so difficult, ur prolly not even an expert craftsman in any craft so you have no room to talk ^^

I think you mean getting to 399 is the same. As no, I dont care how expensive armor fluxes are. You dont need to crit 3 times to make your item and prem fluxes cost that on a GOOD day and if your lucky you will see 2 in the auction house mush less 6 of them. And Armor fluxes have a substantially high drop rate that the pre weapon fluxes. so i doubt they cost that much in your server on average, you probably saw one at that price and ran with it. Even if thats the prices like I said they drop alot more meaning if you know people your ok regardless. With prems thats not the case on average players found 1 every 6 hours. Its no comparison to the weapon making quests as much as you may want to believe that to feel like you did something hard. Sorry no. Its NOT even in the same league. Getting 400 in The 3 I mentioned is like doing 2 Expert quests in one.

And as for your " Im not a master Craftsman. I am the first and the only Expert alchemist in my server. And currently doing both Armor-smith and Handicraft on a mule, and they are jokes in comparison to the cruel Alchemy quest so i can very much so talk thank you.

Expert Alchemy

Finally an Expert (Spoilers)

That's not actually how crits work, at the (theoretical) 480 you'd just not have much of a chance of failure.

Is there a site with this on it? I've definatly found what you say true but was just wondering if that was just my luck or if there are statistics behind it.

Seems like hard facts on this matter are hard to come by but this is the general stated opinion of all crafters. Most crafters would suggest their chance of critting actually goes down as they outskill the craft but that's probably not true either.
