The wiki is wrong as hell, It even says you can crit on heals which I know for a fact isnt true. I been playing a chanter and cleric for a while now and I have never seen a crit heal ever especially at full dp. Second the skill over the item just insures you dont fail when crafting it thats about it. If anything I would sooner go with the theory that I proposed the other day that if you are many combat levels lower than the item you are crafting (lvl 13 deava making lvl 23 armor) you would have a higher chance to crit. This is a theory I am currently testing on a few toons. I am just waiting on some of my sales to go thru so I have more inventory space.

Supposedly, before the latest updates, you could indeed crit on heals and magic. That's why a few items still list magic crit on them. So, when posted by Aion staffers, it was correct. However, that part of the entry has been removed.

One additional point - the Aion wiki is NOT user made. It allows no adjustments from users, only from Aion staffers. It is not an open wiki. We can only add comments at the bottom of an entry.

Converted some manastones today.

9 of 50 crit to green with my DP bar half full and while the recipe was still the bright yellow (within 20p).
13 of 65 crit to green with my DP bar half full and while the was still the bright yellow (within 20p).

Not the biggest sample but it isn't looking like anything helps the 20%~ rate.
