Sooo I can't say enough how much I'm enamored and inspired by the artistic value of Aion and I absolutely love how much effort they put into the armor / weapon / world designs. Anyway - I was doodling last night and did a sketch of some type of Elyos warrior.
Coincidently, I purchased the ADOBE CS4 Master Suite this weekend as I've been using basic HTML editors and a 5 year old version of paintshop to do webdesign for too long - time to be a big boy and learn the pro set of tools. This is my first attempt at a painting in PS - I have a lot to learn over the coming months but I'm happy with the result of tinkering with all the sparkly new brushes and filters. I definitely need to find some tutorials on how to do this right. I'm also in serious need of a tablet - 'painting' / coloring with a mouse seriously sucks. '' Give me the strength...'' (click for larger version ) The sketch ![]() Some toning ![]() Go Go layers/airbrush/filters ![]() About 20 minutes on the sketch and about 3 hours playing in PS. <Edit>I'm also looking for ideas for Aion-esque art so feel free to suggest. Thanks. <Edit 2> I also have the 'basic tones' in PSD if someone else wants to give it a go. Last edited by masyn; 09-02-2009 at 08:11 PM.. Reason: after thought... |

Thats pretty cool man. If you increase the drawing's quality and clean it up a bit it could totally be used (for signatures and sutff).

Actually I thought the drawing was rather good. You seem to be a talented sketcher, but PS has a hell of a learning curve. Take some time and play around, read some tutorials and get more comfortable with the program.
Anyway I liked your drawing well enough that I took about 2 hours to make you a sig. Let me know if you like it, want changes, or if you would like the .psd files to play with it yourself. ![]() __________________ ![]() Last edited by Falkahn; 09-04-2009 at 02:21 AM.. |
