....lol i already said Halo was mediocre at best. Believe me that just because i clearly don't like sony doesn't mean im all over MS. They've d1cked around b4 and I'm more critical of the ppl i support than of the competition. Sonys future is not in the PS2 however well its selling, its future lies in the PS3. In this console war, the 7th generation, Sony is losing both in the handheld market and in the console market. And however much you think halo doesn't deserve they hype it still has one of the most active and largest console FPS communities. I'll be waiting to see if God of War moves mountains like you say it will, even though the sales of its predecessors give no inclination of system selling status...

btw nothing to say about my M.A.G. being a ripoff of Huxley comment, i thought for you hop on that, it seems to be the new sony fanboy bandwagon....lol, always trying to find reasons to justify the purchase.

I never saw a "rip off of Huxley" comment actually. If you wanted to go there we could just say that both games are a rip-off of Planetside, which is an SOE game. I haven't heard anything about Huxley except for a few mentions of it on this board so I really don't think the comparison is very valid. It's more likely that M.A.G. is inspired by Planetside. Either way it's way to early to make legitimate comparisons because the only (announced) similarities M.A.G. has to both Planetside and Huxley are being FPS and being MMO.

How did this poor thread turn into a battle between two fanboys? And whats wrong with being a fanboy...I'm a fanboy of sports, games, sleeping, and relaxing and I'll defend those to the end. I hate fanboys of work, politics, and the police. Like it's been stated multiple times by multiple people, games are no longer system exclusive. The game companies will sell their own to as many platforms as possible to make money, who seriously buys Madden (just an example please don't attack me) for their DS? It's a shame that we all love gaming so much but have to ***** and moan over systems when in the end we'll all be playing the same game and commenting on how good it is in a thread made by one of us in the future...you wanna know what the best system was....Dreamcast!!!

That's right that system was way too far ahead for its own time. Powerstone was the fricking **** and it was the first system to have online play. Makes me wanna bust mine out today lol.

XD That's the system that actually turned me into a hardcore gamer, before then I was pretty casual and would just play every now and again but the Dreamcast ate my soul for breakfast and I loved every minute of it! If Sega were to randomly drop another system on us at some point I would buy it day 1 no question, even if it was $500. =P

Thought I'd hop back into the action here and let you guys know something about me:

I've never played a Final Fantasy game (okay, I tried 3, which is 6 in Japan, and 7 and got bored five minutes into both).

I've never played a Metal Gear Solid game (period, the end).

Neither interested me.

I've only completed two RPGs: multiple Pokemon games and Chrono Trigger, the latter I forced myself to complete (****ing Magus).

I won an Xbox 360 from the Mountain Dew contest years ago, had to get it replaced twice, and I don't play it (other people do, though, like my family and friends when they come over).

The PS3 is huge and the controller is ****ty.

The Wii is tiny, feels like the Geo Metro of consoles, the controller is worse than the PS3's, and SSB is a crappy game.

I haven't played a videogame for months, except for Aion.

The Personal Computer is the superior videogame system.

FEAR is probably my favorite PC game.

Halo 1 PC is the best multiplayer PC game ever made. I still play that every year or so.

PC ftw. But i still do miss the old days of using my PS or PS2. Might as well dust those off. I feel like that sony is slipping but i am still considering getting a PS3 and a nice huge HDTV to go along with it. blarg 2k - 3k down that path or use that money and pump it into a new computer system for aion and use the HDTV as my monitor. =)

That's what I'm doing, I've got a 42'' LCD that I use as my monitor often times when I'm gaming with my PC. With my wireless keyboard and mouse I just sit on the couch and it's just like I'm gaming on a console. =P

Actually I would disagree on the Wii's controller being worse than the PS3's, I rather think the innovation in it makes it superb and the fact that it is actually working on the games it was intended for (the only problem I have is with the boxing games, it's not super accurate) but for the most part I love that controller system and I have come to hate regular controllers these days The Wii Fit is amazing IMO and I think I'll be playing that a lot more this winter when I can't really go outside to exercise

Massive Action Game. A 256 Person Multiplayer Shooter by Sony, announced at E3. They showed a trailer of it. It almost uses the full amount of the PS'3 power, and is known to be absolutely impossible for the 360 to do.

Huxley, the MMOFPS, will have massive battles and be in the Unreal Engine. And that's on the 360 and PC.
