Haha nice, I got my new guy up to 17 now, I should be up to Palisades tomorrow. And I thought the CP's were were fun, cant wait for Treebark, I've heard a lot of it. I thought just the regular instances you start in the newbie zone were fun, theyre kind of like playing a COOP mission in Halo.

Lol the game does get pretty hectic but it's fun to blast them all away. Devil's Den is always a pain haha, friggin fithiks all in your face and blowin' up. Treeback camp isn't too tough, just a bit annoying. Last time I did it the missions would bug and I wouldn't receive the radio missions when the objectives were met, etc. I'm sure it's fine now, it's been a while.
Felluah, where are you downloading the client at? Theres a Tabula Rasa install client on the official website under New Player Guide > Getting Started.

I've tried with the firewall off, and on - Dungeon Runners has downloaded previously just fine. And there's no news messages regarding downloads being off...
I'm trying to get an older version of the client elsewhere, hopefully I'll be able to get it updated instead. |

Yeah someone should make a TR group where we can post our char names and stuff to meet/organize up.
HAHAHA Richard is boxing in game against Jesus Chavez, 2 time world boxing champion..I wonder how much they paid him to get in a game and do that, or maybe he's a player lol. They are doing it on lvl 4 chars, and apparantly theyre gonna be on for a while and other people can fight them Last edited by Calindor; 07-20-2008 at 06:23 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

haha you werent kidding, that was freaking fun, ive never had a PvE/instance experience quite like that...it was kind of similar to a raid in EnB (a lot of things in TR seem to be similar to TR). I'm About to do Devil's Den now...I'm also loving the things and battle cries NPC's yell, just got a quest and the guy says out loud "Bane hunters have keen set of senses, unless their heads are removed from their bodies! How about some senseless violence!?"
edit: man I'm loving this game, its by far the most fun I've hard starting out in a MMO since EnB. I've played L2, WoW, GW, Rohan, EVE, DDO and some others that slip my mind, none come close to the feeling in this game starting out..or the first 20 or so levels. L2 was pretty fun getting used to the open PvP, chasing around PKers, flagging on people, seeing a guy get upset with someone, start attacking them, pk them on accident, people chase them around, they die and drop gear and start flipping out..but it lost its novelty fast when you've been playing for a few weeks at lvl 20 and it goes all the way to 75+ and you hear it takes a year to get up there doing the same grind. Yeah, it's a fun game. Battle happens at every turn and whatnot. I just like how they fixed the problem when the mobs would only focus on you. Now the allied npcs are taking the heat as well. I like the random little announcements at the bases from time to time. "Someone lost a sock. Go pick it up at lost and found." True it's really stupid but yeah.

well, I sorted out my client download issues by finding a direct download from the site, rather than via the ncsoft downloader/updater. Of course, it had to do some 3.2 gig update or something, but it's ready to go now. Just got to wait on a more opportune time to make sure I get the most out of my 3 free days.

I'd love to try tabula rasa because it seems pretty unique and futuristic. Any idea how much the game costs?

I paid $20 at futureshop plus $15 a month, I've heard of it for sale for $13 or $15 at some places....pretty ridiculous considering the game costed $100mill+ to develope...it had a bad start, was buggy.
I also love those messages, got a quest today where someone delivering coffee got shot down, this Colonel gave me a mission to go where he was reported last and get the bag of coffee beans, then once I turned it in I had to go give cups of coffee to all the scouts up in watch towers...I also remember walking through a base a few days ago and hearing the intercom message say: "Something thats like coffee is better than no coffee at all". Those messages are great "This planet has a no smoking policy due to that the atmosphere is flammable". "Do not throw your garbage through the wormhole", etc...theres so many of them, good for a nice laugh. I also saw a NPC say something along the lines of "How am I supposed to fit all this crap into such a tiny crap hole? Crappity crap Mc crapper I think this crap is really gettin to me...and I really gotta stop sayin crap!" Last edited by Calindor; 07-22-2008 at 03:32 PM. |

Hahahaha really? I think its great with games that have humor. If I start playing i will definetly wanna bring Dynasty over. Cause this game could actually make my waiting for aion alot more bearable.

lol just heard "Due to elements beyond our control, we regret to announce that lunch is now being served".
Its a great game, its the best newbie/PvE experience I've had in years, maybe even ever, will have to see how the missions and stuff evolve closer to end game. Like Marchosias said earlier to me, its probably the best experience that wasnt anticipated..if you are waiting forever for a game like aion and it delivers, its a great experience...but we just randomly started playing this game out of the blue looking for something to do, and its delivering perfectly. |
