Ugh, those animations are extremely ****** and the art style looks generic and uninspired.

it's not all about looks you know - game play counts for a lot.

I'm intrigued enough to sign up for the beta and see what it's like.

I understand that, but I'm really picky when it comes to animations and art style. I might also play the beta to see if the devs weren't lying about the gameplay. It all sounds so good on paper, but it's the execution that matters.

Crap on a stick is Crap on a stick. Regardless of whether or not it's fun to play with. This game will be like most other junior releases and just barely keep itself afloat.

Why do they feel the need to tell us its "100% PURE... *yes pure* in-game footage".

The fact that the graphics look 3 - 4 years old and the animation looks so amateurish.. did they really think we would be sitting here thinking.. "Damn!.. looks so amazing.. that can't possibly be in game!"

.. hehe.. funny stuff.. I actually laughed within the first 5 seconds of the video because of that.. and as other people in the thread mentioned.. i switched the trailer off before it finished.. looks utter trash.

Wow, there were LOTS of shadows everywhere and they didn't mind having the sunset blaze in our face. The art seems dull and combat looks stiff.

Graphics aren't as important as gameplay, but one wonders how will they ruin the game after seeing this, I mean, it looks amateur, designing MMORPGs is complicated, specially if you're trying to do what nobody else is trying anymore, and graphics talk a lot about the game's budget and levels of polish.

I've got a friend who's really been following this game, and the concept is purely on the gameplay. It's a pure PVP styled game designed to revolutionize how fighting is handled. There will be no auto-attacks and everything must be done manually, so it's TRULY about skill and not just who had the better gear. In Darkfall Skill > Gear and Gameplay > Graphics. That being said, i'm still sticking to my Aion, cause great gameplay AND sexy graphics AND a story i can sink my teeth into = WIN!

Skill? That duel on a waterfall cliff was a big lol, as well as ranger oneshoting people, and overall combat spamming 1 key and jumping around like some wow retard. Animations are horrid and graphics are very dull.

No targeting? Omg my ms is better than your so i win.

Interesting ideas, but the animations are enough to turn me off...Well that and why is the plate armor so incredibly shiny? Looks like pieces of plastic dipped in silver... : /
