<3 Japan... Id move there if I could. Their bizarre-ness so fits my personality. hehe As for maid + japanese girl =ing win... meh. I never understood the attraction to maids myself. I like the schoolgirl outfits they wear though.

I used to wish schools in the US were like that til I had the horrifiying realization that the fat girls would have to wear them too... ;;>.>

I have actually gone on exchange to a Japanese high school and I don't remember ever seeing a fat kid. Seriously o_o;

So kitsunegirl I'm pretty sure you can rest assured. You won't be forced to look at fat girls in uniform in Japan.

I agree with you. When I was over there in 2007, I didn't see any overweight people at all.

And almost every young lady I walked past in Tokyo was smokin' hot!

I found all sorts of beer sold in some of the vending machines I walked past. Especially at the hotel I stayed at. It was sweet. ^_^

Actually, you'd be surprised. Most of the people over there learned English at some point in their lives. Especially the people who are 30 or younger. A lot of them are a little embarrassed to use it, because they're not very fluent. While I was over there, I only knew a few Japanese phrases just to get me by. Most people were able to understand my English, but most of them gave me funny looks when I tried the Japanese phrases. I found myself saying "Gomennasi" (I'm sorry) , "Arigatou" (Thank you), and "Sumimasen" (Excuse me) a lot.

The vending machine to person ratio in japan is nuts, even on mt fuji of all places.

When you did try and use japanese, did they give you the 'is the rock speaking' look? I know I've got that funny gajin accent but otherwise, my pronunciation isn't horribad.
