You got me there, for some reason I thought it was the other way around. Doh!

Maybe we're taking this from the wrong angle. Look how rabbits have fur that changes color depending on the season. This allows them to better blend in with their surroundings. Perhaps this evolutionary defense mechanism is why Elyos and Asmo have their respective skin tones.

As far as I know the skin tones aren't held exclusively to each race.. As for the faces, I'm not sure, but the hairstyles are exclusive..
And the manes don't look like back hair, they just look like an extension of the hair on their head(Depending on the hairstyle you pick) or they just look like a long tail.

The tail thing on female chars looks sort of like a wolf tail.

I believe the more accepting appearance is why most people go for Elyos. They resemble angels, sure...but they also resemble humans more then Asmodians. After that, it boils down to wanting to look divine or chaotic. I read though that the game won't be a good vs evil type of story, but more of something thats along a conflict driven by differences.

Elyos. gives the impression of an elf. asmodians.... more like trolls. Wings obviously elyos wins hands down. Environment , sanctum is just like another Eden.

If anything the asmodians look like dark elves and the elyos human, but don't forget the insane customization options for the skin tones. You can have an asmodian look more akin to a human if you wanted to. And I think you can change the ear shape from what I've seen in videos.
But I would for sure want some pointy ears.

I was going to choose asmodians, but the problem is that they got clawed feet...., and that doesn't fit in with Guts' look (From Berserk.).

I just like the look of everything on the Elyos side. I picked Elyos instantly. Although the Asmodian do have thier own sexiness. I love the red eyes the huge thing that turns me away is really the claws and the feet. After playing an Elf F on ffxi I really regreted it at the end. I so should have made a mithra or hume F :/ and then messing around with WoW as a night elf well she is just ugly so im excited to play something beautiful even though my playful side wants to role Asmodian.

Both sides look great, I just like elyos more, plus I have a feeling there are some customization options that we havn't heard about yet.

Elyos looks more graceful to me. Although I do love the cool and calming presences of the Asmodian environments....But Sanctum the floating city beats Pandemonium for me, although it's a too bright for my taste, I'll just have to wait for nightfall. >_<

Leaning towards Elyos, but will check out Asmodian also. And I actually think that back-hair-fur-tail on the Asmodian looks really neat, plus their claws and glowing red eyes?

Side Note: In the lore, Elyos sounds so arrogant, which sort of annoys me. :~|
