Whats so special about Elysea?

I really like the environment. Sanctum is really awe-inspiring. The wings sold me first, but the environment is keeping me there.

I dunno, it's like Elysea's general atmosphere is very uplifting. While Pandemonium and it's atmosphere feels a little too depressing for my taste.

I couldn't agree with you any more Katt....I'm in the same park as you on that one. The lush greenery and realm of the Elyos is extremely appealing. I was basing my decision for Elyos or Asmodian on skillsets..since it seems only the DP is going to be different, I'm decided on Elyos =D. The wings are also just drop dead gorgeous...=P

I agree. I've played mostly the dark/evil classes, and I'm kinda bored of them right now.

Heh I picked my race long before we knew what Asmodae and it's inhabitants looked like, maybe I should have waited because I really like their look all around, and I <3 purple....

But Elysea is beautiful and home of the light, and I fell in love with that old Sanctum trailer. ^^ There's lots of greens in the scenery and that makes me happy. I also think our wings pwn, even though they are very traditional.

PLus, asmodian wings don't look as nice. I've seen a screen shot with an Elyos with her wings up and it looks absolutely amazing. Asmodian wings just don't do the trick for me, as of now anyway.

I've seen a lot of footage of sanctum, but are there videos or screenshots of Pandemonium? This is news to me (I didn't even know the name of the asmodian capitol). I'd love to see them

I'm torn between the two factions, because I am drawn to the brighter environments, but at the same time a lot of my friends want to roll Asmodian because they feel like they will be like the horde in WoW: Better at pvp and a more mature atmosphere.

Of course that's just stereotypes, but carebears (I really hate this term) are definitely gonna be more drawn to the Elyos than Asmodian.

At any rate, I will be rolling one of each on different servers to see all of Aion's lovely environments and hear the beautiful soundtracks. I absolutely love the music in this game. I discovered the thread that had a link to all those music tracks and they are superb. The composer is incredibly talented.

I agree with you 100%.
The game drew me in because of its beauty, and even though Asmodae (sp?) is beautiful in its own way, Elysea's atmosphere is very "uplifting", just as you said. Its so pretty it makes me feel good and happy ^_^

I agree as well. Elysea is very beautiful, and I've fallen in love with most of its zones. Pandemonium only has a couple of places that I find beautiful, whereas the rest of it is gloomy and sorry-looking. (They also have more primitive-ish areas, as well.)

Well, after a while of trying to figure out which race to go, Elyos eventually won out by a little bit. Everything including the scenery and general atmosphere seems better and more enjoyable on the Elyos side. The only thing I am afraid of is that the PvP side of the game will get dominated by the Asmodians (WoW Horde syndrome). Hopefully we'll be able to whip these Elyos Carebears into shape and mold them into warriors who spread peace, love, joy, and smiles...... through force!


Oh btw, I like that the Elyos don't have this.

It was a tough desision but in the end I still love the elyos <3 But if my partner decides to play I will be rolling an Asmo Alt. My heart will always be for the elyos. I love their wings <3<3
