I think the Asmo wings look cool. The Elyso wings are so typical of winged people to me. How many times have we all seen a bird winged person, twice a day (exaggerating). Usually on the evil, or in this case dark, side of things we get dragon wings. I find the wings to be a refreshing change. And they look cool in that picture, I'll never understand some peoples taste in style.

I didn't choose them for the wings...if you could get nifty butterfly wings I'd go for those whichever race they were (though I highly doubt it). It's all about which race ends up cuter...in my eyes

I think it depends what time of the day it is hah. The landscape and the sky on the picture is very dark, probably why they look black.

I think that accounts for the purplish appearance, but what about the inherent black edges near where it comes off of the body? I could be mistaken, but that seems to be black/gray naturally.

Honestly, everyone plays these games for different reason and have their own different, "deal breaker" of sorts.

Like, I don't get people who won't pick a race because the other one has slightly better racial talents. That's just silly to me. My friend absolutely refuses to play Asmodian because he doesn't like how they look evil, cause he loves rping a "hero" (I said "looks evil"! Please don't preach about how Asmodians have feelings too).

Personally, I choose a race for aesthetics. The Elyos wings do look much much nicer than the Asmodian ones because they have a certain level of class and style that suit my taste. My character not looking good will drive me insane. I don't know how anyone played horde on WoW, because I play for several hours a day (I consider myself hardcore) and ugly characters just make me wanna gouge out my eyes!

As long as I'm happy with my character's looks, and have good friends, I can deal with any MMO's shortcomings. If my character doesn't look perfect, I won't be happy with the game I play. And, Elyos happen to look perfect.
