So in my crafting adventures, I've idly noticed that some materials which SEEM like they should be in available in the world are not. For example....

Does anyone else wonder why Daraia in Pandaemonium is the only one in all the land that can extract Salix Oil from a Salix Log? Or why you can't kill a Qooqoo and get a qooqoo egg? Or why no one can make Wrud Logs into Wrud Paper? :D

Seems to me like there could be a good opportunity here for the professions to support each other a little. It would be fun if Handicrafters could make paper out of the corresponding logs, or Alchemists could transform Kirka into Kirka Wine (you know, cuz they have the bottles lol). Sure, the NPCs could still sell the mats, but there could be benefits to working with another profession, or more of an incentive to have two yourself.

Surely I can't be the only one who has ever made scrolls and wondered why I am shelling out for the paper when the logs are right out there in the forest... :)

What is your biggest crit damage on a 2 HANDED weapon? The reason I ask is because I've seen Templars crit higher than me with a sword, like 2000+ range but I think it's only because of their attack boosting buff and an ability they use, Overpower? (something).

Although I know for a fact I've seen sword crits do more dmg than a 2 handed, even a polearm... why? >.>; Makes no sense.

Another critical flaw

Developers made a critical mistake with this game.

They spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time creating, developing, polishing and implementing character generation.

They must have spent an insane amount of time detailing every little hair-strand, and every little mole on players faces down to lipstick color, foot and hand size and yea, head-size too.

Too bad they spent so much time in this aspect of the game. Although it's nice, and it goes farther then any other mmo to date in this regard, imo they spent way too much time and way too many resources in this part of the game.

It's like they devoted 85% of their time and resources to character creation, and 10% on content and 5% on pvp and pvp balance. No wait, they spent 80% on character creation, 10% on content, 5% on pvp and pvp balance and 5% on flight ability, AH trader voice-overs and the crysystem.dll.

Nice to know you can make and awesome looking character that gets to play in a world that is as linear as they come and has replicated mobs lvl after lvl after lvl. I was impressed by the frillnecks however, I mean, the large frillnecks were almost exactly like the hissing frillnecks BUT they were different colors. Lepharists of all types wear different garb. Barely. Wow.

Anyways. Maybe next time a gaming company will devote more of their time and energy to the PLAYABILITY of a game rather then spend a majority of it on the over-all appearance.

Playing this game is like driving a Porsche that has a VW golf engine and 4 speed tranny and bucket seats from a Subaru Justy. Yea it looks great, but it's an under-performing, uncomfortable p.o.s.

At least my 36th lvl retired assassin looks good with her pretty mole and hand-held leaf fan!

This leads me to believe that Curse is actually the ringleader in RMT sales, and they are chinese from or working as a subsidiary of china.

Why no quest polearms!

Is anyone else as mad as me that there are vitually no quest polearms. Here I am about to do the Hannet's quest in Fire temple and yet again there are NO options for gladiators, we can pick a greatsword and gimp our crit (our most important stat) or we can go 1h if we wish to dual wield that is about it.

It really seems that crafting and questing rewards leave polearms/spears out of the equation, and I am getting sick of our class getting slapped in the face by this (as well as our sheer lack of balance pre-endgame).:angry:

Create mode crash

I'm having some problems with Aions create mode - Whenever i spend like, more than 5 minutes in the create mode, my PC just shuts down. But the crazy part is that it's ONLY in the create mode. I can play the game normally for a long time and nothing happens. :angry:

I would like to say thank you to all the Elyos who were in Sulfur and Asteria today. The amount of kills I got today was amaizing, VoTF is currently reveling the amount of fighting going on. We kept on slogging it out until the very end.

Tonight VoTF got two alliances together and it was decided to go for Sulfur Fortress. All the other legions decided that Sulfur would be the best option so we followed.

As we got to Sulfur we saw plenty of Section IX. Calls went out and we engaged, a lot of fighting in the air went on and they eventually pulled away. We took down the doors and decided to go at the deity straight away. Diety got down to 80% and the Elyos came in force. A large force of multiple legions came into Sulfur and started running down the ramp.

We formed up a wall on the ramp and started to push back, targets were called, elyos started dying and we pushed them back. This happened multiple times and eventually we decided to have one alliance defend and once alliance kill the deity while the random other alliances continued to hug the wall and kill the deity rather than defend the ramp... This went on for about 20min with the yo-yo of up and down the ramp. Eventually enough Elyos turned up and we started to lose ground, our 2nd alliance engaged but there were to many elyos and we eventually wiped.

We decided to go for Asteria Fortress quickly gathering at the door and taking it down. Artifacts were overlooked and we went straight for the deity. Very few Elyos were defending and those that were got killed while some kept out of reach. The deity was down to about 75% when verdandi's prank was activated. Verdandi's prank transformed everyone into ribbits which meant were were silenced and only auto-attack worked.

We wiped.

We decided to go back for a fight, using our 2nd alliance to go back out and take the artifact back like yo-yo. A huge fight ensued with us in the Deity room fighting both Elyos alliances and the deity holding our own and continually killing.

Reports came that Sulfur deity was at 50% and very few Elyos. We gathered and went for it. Our group reached Sulfur as the Elyos did. We engaged the Deity, started tanking the additional back entrance boss and the zerg came down the ramp. We held together and continued to push back but 48 people were not going to hold off about 200. We kept it together and pushed but due to lack of numbers we were overwhelmed.

I would like to say to Section IX, Booncontrol, Gummibears + all the other assorted legions that were there tonight. Great fight and we expect more soon!

Don't people realize that it takes a while for an mmorpg to grow and become good? Do you think the moment WoW came out, it was already the best mmorpg in the world? Do you think that the moment megan fox was born, she was already gorgeous hottie that she is today?

The answer is no. It took years for WoW to mature and become what it is today. Years of polishing and trial and error. Also, it didnt have the hellspawn that is the mmorpg community of today. back then people didnt have the mentality that mmorpgs must the best game ever the moment it comes out. they were just happy to play an mmorpg because it was either the first one they have tried and because there really was no other decent western mmorpg on the market. WoW didn't have the pressure of half of the community telling them the game will fail because it is not perfect after a month after launch.

Back then, it was a pleasure to stick with an mmorpg from the beginning and then watch it grow over the years and just get better and better and refine itself. what new mmorpgs need these days is support from the community in order to keep the investors happy so that developers can focus on developing instead of figuring out shortcut to meet project deadlines.

Even though Aion is perfect right now, it has come a long way. Despite the bitter rantings of trolls, NCsoft west has addressed practically all the complaints we have had and at least made some attempt to fix them.

1) queues -> made 2 extra servers and changed private shop duration
2) crashing -> fixed for most people in last patch
3) bots and rmt-> created spam filters, banned some bots each day, and now creating a GM team just for bots
4) 10-30 grind-> increased quest exp
5) dev communication-> ayase and tamat frequent the boards and even have twitters

I have to admit, since this game is a korean port, and NCsoft west not even the main subdivision of the company, I am surprised to see this much feedback and response from them.

No expert armor quest

So I get to 399 armorsmithing and do the expert workorder but when completed I do not recieve any quest for expert.

I have brought cooking to 400+ perhaps I'm not able to have two expert crafts.

Anyone know?

So I formatted my pc, went to redownload aion via launcher (6.8gb), problem is when it gets to 100%, it starts examining/extracting the files and after that it starts downloading all over again for another 6.8gb, the fuk?!

Anyone else had this problem?

If I want the leg/arm proportions to be the same as they were, should I just leave those settings in the center? Or will it still turn out different?

Hello i got my 2000 plat coins 1 week ago, but didnt know in what npc i have to change them, there is one in Bubu Village and another one in Baltasar Village, what of that 2 npcs is the guy who gonna give me the gold weapon ?? I can check the rewards with out give them any coin ??

now tell me why are u so noob to think that gladiator cant use leather (highlvl leather sets are the best option if u wanna be a good gladiator cause of much higher evasion and magic resist) and if only 1 ranger (and no assa i might add , cause if they were 2 of only leather classes in group i wouldnt roll) is in group and leather drops why couldnt i roll for it as well when he already got 2 items from another shulack set + kurillu leggins (blue pants crafter from andre skin) and i could already use a new leather set?

If hes calling me a ninja look at theese 2 chars (me and him) and tell me how many dropped items u see there... (a hint 0 on me) - i must have buyed and farmed most of my items for AP cause im so unlucky on drops and when i take one this happens to me ....

If i am a ninja that i rolled to have one dropped item on me im sorry ... but he was behaving like a master of the world and was just flaming about everything we wanted to do some quest for other members from group and he just flamed: "no i dont wanna go there i wont get epx and stuff and pls come here" so we did and when we killed engineer (btw i tanked him and i got myself 2 clerics from my now "previous legion Unity" - that previous is thanks to this kid, cause noone checked sites for glad builds nor asked me why i rolled) he says its his his and noone rolls and then make such stupid moves like when we ask what dropped he didnt wanted to post us the 3rd item until he finnally clicked on it. So i checked meanwhile his items on site (link above) and saw he got another shulack set so come on... and then he leaves us there and quits and starts spamming all aliance leaders and channels that im a ninja looter :D hes the one whos ninja looter and just got over rolled so wake up Zephiris. And i hope other ppl will at least think about listening to some1 without the other side of the story (sorry for new post , but some admin closed the topic he posted - possibly on his request so i couldnt react on it).

well i did the exacte same post on assassin forum cause actually i'm wondering one which class to stay ... being low level becom boring after some re-roll :P :

well, i'm the type of people who never know what class to choose ...

tried Sorc to 14 -> too much on my server and quite boring ...
tried Ranger to 22 -> well it's not that bad but being a bunny isn't my favorite playstyle -_-' ... also heard ranger end game aren't that good ...
tried Templar to 17 -> funny to take each and every strike and stay still, but i do love DPS too much ... xD (even if i heard Templar end game aren't so bad ... )

and now i'm wondering 1 thing about my templar, how is the Templar in mass PvP ? (fortress, 6v6... ) i can't really imagine their role, exept grabbing 1 or so ppl to let dps class destroy them before aiming to another target ? maybe aiming to ranger / sin / sorc / SM with their "not so bad" damage ?

well, your Point of View ? and, if possible reality of the job :)

it's all about end-game ofc :) (level and stuff :P ) ... can't choose :angry:
