Just how much does +weapon attack damage factor into your overall skill attack damage?

For example, I might use Robust Blow V skill attack on a glad, it says it does 335 - 484 damage, I have a polearm which does 160 - 297 damage, how much damage will I usually do with this skill attack on a non crit and crit? The actual polarm stats i'm using btw it's lahus, a blue level 32 polearm.

Now take the first example but I've got a better polearm, the level 46 gold polearm of rank 3 soldier, this one does 220 - 413 damage, i'm using Robust blow V again, how much more damage will I do, will it be a lot more, or will it not really make much difference?

The second polarm is way better than the first but I have my doubts that it will significantly increase the damage.

Any good recommendable templar or gladiator pvp movies around? you know those movies from wich you say '' damm i might wanna roll that class'' or just enjoyable ones.

I know i can type gladiator aion pvp in youtube for example but i was wondering if there are certain movies known in the warrior community that are recommendable.

I just posted a new video for a macro that does autoattack weaving that'll save a bit of button presses during grinding, but also do good dps.

The entire chain after the initial Inescapable Judgment is done with only one button press.

Well i went from cleric to templar because i dont want to be a healing bot standing in the background. I rolled a Templar and have just reached lvl 20 and now i start to think that maybe a cleric or maybe a chanter wouldnt be so bad afterall. I see all roles kill faster than me and i usually get ksed on every other mob i touch.
What im wondering is, do Templars become better/stronger in the later lvls and do we get a chance to actually kill anything in PvP that isnt AFK?

ok right now im a lvl 27 glad been hearing around that glads at later lvls make ok tanks...My question is to people of higher lvls is the templar the best or tanking or does a glad work just as well?

well ive noticed its not that far off level 35 - 40 ish armor def, and it has an extra manastone slot, wouldnt it just be better for me to buy level 25 yellow plate armor and L30 enchantment stones are so cheap and easier to ahold of and make some +10's? im sure that would easily last me till 45+ maybe higher what u guys think?

How do you play a tank?

Disclaimer: At the time of this posting I have seen a number of posts for deciding which class for PvP, which I am not interested in for this character, but I have not easily found a thread for choosing a class if my goal as PvE grouping only. As I went along I kinda figured out that Templar was what I was really wanting (well I think so but I am not certain), but I realized I just didnt fully understand how to properly play a Tank.

Ok, I play a Sorcerer normally, and enjoy that style of play. I have tried a SM but havnt quite gotten into the whole Pet thing, I am a bit more hands on and want to do things myself. I have been in a number of groups where finding a decent Tank or Puller has been difficult, which supprised me. These Clerics keep thinking they can both pull and tank because they can carry a shield and self heal, and that is not working for dungoens. So I figured for those times when ther are plenty of Priests and Mages, but getting someone properly designed for tanking is hard to find, I would play my Alt to help the cause.

I went to AionArmory and looked at the skill listings of Gladiator and Templar, thinking that would help me clear things up, but it actually confused me more. I have played a Caster exclusively long enough to know what Tank and Puller is and how important they are, but not know exactly how one is played. I am perfectly willing to accept this fact that I do not understand the Wariors very well, so if you have some general guidance in how these particular classes play these roles, please contribute.

Gladiator can use a Bow, and that seems like a great option for a Puller. Gladiator has a AoE attack that would seem to draw agro at lvl 10 hitting everything within a 7m range (although it does not say specifically it increases Emnity), and Glad skills seem to have more damage associated. Does damage provoke Agro as much as a Taunt?

Templars dont have a mass agro/taunt in the listing until lvl 25. However, by lvl 25 the Templar has 10 skills (counting stigma skills and each instance a skills appears like Provoke I and II count as 2 and Chastise 1 & 2 count as 2) while Gladiator only has 4.

So does a Tank just provoke things and take the hits becasue Taunts > Damage or Heals? How do you get the agro off of the Puller when the target is still far away, just wait until the mob gets there? When thre are adds, how do you get all of them to come after you? I mean yeah the Sorc can mass sleep but then agro of the waking is on the caster and we want it on me, the tank.

So seriously, could someone explain how to play a Tank properly. Should a Tank also be Puller or should that role be left to someone else?

Ok, seriously. Everyone has time to add their flames to other threads, but when someone has a REAL question about how to lpay your class, no one has an answer? If you know of a guide that explains how to Tank properly, post the link please. If you are using this post as inspiration to write up your own guide, still write somethin please.

There are a lot of tards out there with no clue how to properly play a Tank, I know cause I've grouped with them. I'm asking the place where people are supposed to know how to play Warriors, how is it supposed to be done properly?

According to aionarmory, you can get the breast plate from Bluehide monitors and bulku bufffalid, and the greaves from lazy ksellid and black mask spiner.

But where do you get the other parts?

I'm thinking about making a Warrior alt as a break from my SM. Sometimes controlling pets, kiting, dotting, etc. gets tiring and you just want to bash some dude's face in the old fashioned way. So which face-basher is better at small scale PvP?

At first glance I would say Gladiators since they're the more offensive, bursty archetype. Burst is always great. However, comparing their skills makes me start to think Templars are better suited for more situations; they have a nice set of skills to counter pretty much every class at higher levels. Glad skills revolve more around pure damage and increasing that damage to god-like levels, but with less focus on CC which might really hurt in 1v1/small scale situations. Hmm...
And yes I know this is an MMO with a focus on the massive and blah blah blah but IMO any class can do well in large-scale PVP if played decently.

Templar or glad for cleric partner PVP @50?

hi there, my partner plays a gladiator we're both lvl 38
at the moment my gladiator is unable to peel stuff off me, knockbacks are too random, and he feels he cant do much and that the skillcap for gladiators is too low

would a templar be better choice? with that deathgrip thing and stuns? and will it be possible killing anything at 50?

I've got my Templar to lvl 27 now, and frankly, I'm bored...

My only options are to go grind mobs mindlessly, i'm out of quests. OK I can tolerate that if it's just to fill in occasional gaps in levelling, but having ground out half a level, I'm noticing just how dull the combat system is.

press 1,2,3 press a,b,c go back to step 1.

WHATEVER my target is doing, he's casting a spell? well cant do **** about that, he's charging up a big hit? cant do squat about that, just keep mashing the same combination over and over, never change, never deviate from 1,2,3 a,b,c

do we get an interrupt at some point? something that doesnt require waiting for the current animation to finish, desperately hoping you can equip the shield and use bash in time? dont even try to tell me to grind with a sword and board, it takes so long to kill that way I take at least as much damage as i do with a 2 hander.

do we get ANYTHING that lets us react to what our target is doing? I feel like every fight is a straightforward dps race, just stand like an idiot punching and taking punches until one of us falls down...

so I'll tank something.. oh wait, there's nothing to tank, 1 instance, on a long cooldown, what now? equip 2 hander again and go trade punches with mobs... yawn...

I don't want to reroll, I want this character to be fun, give me some hope please

Which is better for a duo?

My friend and I are trying to figure out which combonation of warriors is best to play to end game. As it stands now we are both glads and we burn through missions and mobs in PvE. I was just wondering if it would be better for one of us to re-roll a templar to make it easier for us at end game and in PvP. Any opinions would be nice.

Level 10 elyos plate = Level 50 plate?

Why does elyos plate look the same for all levels? I mean lvl 10 looks basically the same as lvl 50 one, only different color. There is absolutely no variety in elyos plate. Please, show me some lvl 50 plate that looks better than lvl 10?
Now look at asmodians...the more asmo levels the more "spikey" and badass the gear gets. Yo can even see the progress there. But on elyos, you cant even tell if the dude is 25 or 50.

Bug - Shield Defense I ?

I've submitted this, but not sure if others have had the same problem or if I'm using the skill wrong...

I start my PvE attacks with a skill chain, then during the cooldown, I bring up Shield Defense I...this sometimes drops my Auto Attack, more often than not.

Is auto attack supposed to be ON once you use an attacking skill or is there a bug with Shield Defense turning AA off?

Pick one you favored and why. I pick a Gladiator because it can dish out some serious damage in PVP. The templar is great defense vs classes like Scout and maybe Mage. What's your reason you pick one over the other?

I was wondering if you could give me a hand choosing between those two classes. I'm a big fan of any warrior class but I do not know aion's world and mechanics that well.

Hence the following questions....

1) How about CCs? who's got the most and more effective?

2) What about anti-cc?

3) which one is the most effective in 1vs1 PvP?

4) and instead which is the one more useful in group pvp?
