What is your biggest crit dmg?

What is your biggest crit damage on a 2 HANDED weapon? The reason I ask is because I've seen Templars crit higher than me with a sword, like 2000+ range but I think it's only because of their attack boosting buff and an ability they use, Overpower? (something).

Although I know for a fact I've seen sword crits do more dmg than a 2 handed, even a polearm... why? >.>; Makes no sense.

Why no quest polearms!

Is anyone else as mad as me that there are vitually no quest polearms. Here I am about to do the Hannet's quest in Fire temple and yet again there are NO options for gladiators, we can pick a greatsword and gimp our crit (our most important stat) or we can go 1h if we wish to dual wield that is about it.

It really seems that crafting and questing rewards leave polearms/spears out of the equation, and I am getting sick of our class getting slapped in the face by this (as well as our sheer lack of balance pre-endgame).:angry:

Hello i got my 2000 plat coins 1 week ago, but didnt know in what npc i have to change them, there is one in Bubu Village and another one in Baltasar Village, what of that 2 npcs is the guy who gonna give me the gold weapon ?? I can check the rewards with out give them any coin ??

Just before showing my builds, I wanna say that I fancy DW A LOT. So much that it will probably BE included in my build in any case.

So, my dilemma is between the following builds.

DW Builds.
1.Aion Armory - Gladiator Stigma Calculator - By Terhix

Probably the safest choice. Btw, I really think that Lockdown is HIGHLY underestimated. I put in there because it has the same animation and cooldown with Body Smash and WSB. My point is that WSB and BS have fast skill animations when using DW, that means that Lockdown will be casted REALLY fast, and it is a 3 second melee stun. Hell, I would probably be able to burst an Assassin to 30% or so HP when I'm at 50.

2.Aion Armory - Gladiator Stigma Calculator - By Terhix

I'm not sure this build is a good idea at all, but Technical Counter seems to be a REALLY good skill. If I decide to use this, I would first get 440 crit, then socker 2/3 attack and that 1/3 on parry. So when fighting a melee/ranger, my combo would be something like AA > Vengeful Strike > Technical Counter> AA > Crippling Cut > Draining Blow. This is because I heard that Technical Counter is like a better version of Wrathful Strike when it comes to KD, so...
It would be quite the burst, wouldn't it?
I have a dilemma in this one though. What should I put, Unwavering Devotion, Ankle Snare or Improved Stamina. Quite the hard choice.

Quite self explanatory. I figured for myself this is the best build you can get for Polearm/GS.

2. Aion Armory - Gladiator Stigma Calculator - By Terhix

Something more unusual I think. It is basically the second DW build excluding DW mastery and putting AS in it's slot. Has potential imo.

And this would be the first PE/GS build, excluding Improved Stamina and putting DW mastery in it's slot. It will allow me to use both DW and PE/GS at a really good level.

Did/Does anyone feel like not rolling a Glad because all the bots are Glads? It just seems when im out there in the teens that its really hard to come by a Glad that actually has a normal name. Just curious if this changed or changes your view on the Glad.

2H(Polearm) Weaving

Well, didnt find a similar thread in the short with SF. So, what i want to check is, did anyone yet experience that theres indeed a way to weave with 2H, I mean a way which really increases DPS? We all already know its senseless to weave after every skill, as it more decreases DPS than increasing. But as i felt boring a little while grinding in the last 2 weeks i just played around with weaving.

The result is a weave, specialised on diverse skills, usable easily in a rotation and in a surprise increases DPS.
First, what I do is just casting my base routine for PvE
SW(PW) - WSB - FS(WS+Crippling Cut) - Cleave CH - WSB(Stigma). In that routine i use 2 AA weaves, more would result in the opposite effect. PW and WS. PW: I cast SW and wait 1 sec or less more than usually in my routine and cast in the right moment PW(Pressure Wave) in the result of almost doubeling the DMG on the mob with only 1 skill by adding the DMG of the AA to PW, but skipping its animation(like at Dual Wield). The same goes with WS: Robust Blow - wait 0.5 sec(or a bit more, try to get the timing) - WS with almost doubled DMG.

It is especially insane with atleast 1 critical on the AA or the skill, more sick with 2 crits. For me it always results in killing my beloved orange mobs after WS(+crippling Cut) already and increasing the chance of crits in my routine.

I didnt want to mention this before im not lv 40 and made a testvid, but since servers are down almost a day now and Im bored of that crap NC update fail, I posted this of boreness-.-" and to see if someone actually experienced similar things.

You can check my sig also, i took almost 50% of the HP of an orange lv 40 Abyss Mob by only Pressure Wave comined with 1 skipped AA. The DMG was something like 1300+700.

Basically, two clerics is one of the stronger comps now because the CC in this game is ridiculous.
Once those dispels start flowing, however, and you're left to wreak havoc on the other team's health bars...

Get 50, get geared, put together a team of competent players, queue for Dredgion, and strike back at all the obnoxious ranged classes that you've had to deal with while grinding :pow:

The one and only retarded thing about Dredgion, as you may notice there, is that if a team feels spiteful enough they can just suicide train mobs into you for a whole hour and minimize your points :p

This may be more appropriate for the assassin forums, but anywhos....

So I just got completely rolled by an assassin 1 level below me. I saw him coming, used attack speed potion as well as some food and yet I was unable to do even 5 points of damage to him.

He came in, stunned me...When I got unstunned I popped a potion, used weakening severe blow and fericious strike/robust blow/wrathful strike. I popped another potion and got stunned again and died... Now I have no problem with him stunning me, and at my level (31) I have little experience PvPing solo.

My question is: how is it possible that I did 0 dmg to him the entire fight?

Follow up question: is there a stat I can add to so this guy can't stun me for 10 seconds of a 25 second fight?

I know some of you say, "yeah i tanked almost everything in crit gems" , but i want to know if u were going to make tank set, which way is better?

Enough accuracy to negate any defense stats and then attack all the way : )

I don't like depending on RNG so much so I try and avoid %damage bonus' like crit chance when I can stack the **** out of +attack. I don't crit very often, but when I do it usually takes off a VERY LARGE chunk of hp lol

You don't need ankle snare to beat a mage, you need a wall or a pillar :) there are an abundance in the abyss! Still not so sure about rangers but it still gives you an edge regardles.

I began to stack +crit like everyone else at the start and then realized I won't be able to reach the soft cap for sometime, so I went with this and am loving it, I use polearm btw

Just dumped 1mil in weaponsmithing so I'm gonna try out that evasion leather 2h sword build another time :)

2H Gladiators, pushing above the critcap? what are your toughts

well first of all, i am aware that every point in crit above 440 will give us half the effect that it used to give

BUT

i was thinking here, does that make the bonus worthless?
you see, gladiators not only crit for damage, they also crit for knockdowns, they also have skills that triger when the foe is knocked down, a knocked down foe is completely helpless, unable to CC you, damage you, or use defensive skills/healing, considering the lack of CC that this class have, im assuming this is a matter of great importance to all 2h gladiators out there

besides, what are the other choices?

as you get closer to the endgame heavy hitters, +attack gets less and less effective for gladiators, plus it doesnt help at all with knockdowns

+HP, yes, IMO its a good choice, not saying it isnt, just sugesting something diferent

+M.res? our base M.res is too low to get any benefit for it

+Acc? dont know about it, but i havent seen glads using it so i assume its not that great

+parry? if only it worked against magic as well....

anyway, not stating anything here, just would like to ask the gladiator comunity, what are your toughts about it? think it could be a viable choice?

TELL ME THIS CANT BE TRUE..............................

I was bored and i wanted to see how my animations look w/ GS cuz im gonna get 2k coins "soon" so i bought a crappy GS from AH and since i was bored i wanted to see if i can kill a mob with 12 lvl wep......... so i go and when i see the dmg w/ prec cut i put my xeno wep reset mob and redo prec cut, then i go WTF?

seriously ? How can attack be so pathetic so useless? i have 185 attack w/ the lvl 12 GS and 505 with xenophon's spear and i do just 300 dmg? (p.s. i did this test 2 times and the dmg was almost the same, since i know spear has very random dmg, but anyway i nearly always do 1750-2000 w/ prec cut non-crit on mobs

so, 1 attack = 1 damage.....? this is such a ******** makes attack so useless, if you get 10 hp stones instead 10 attack stones you get 850 hp instead 50 attack, so whats better doing 50 dmg more or having 850 hp more (which is probably even more %%ed with buffs)

and thats not the only thing, a greatsword is so much better than polearm in this case because who gives a **** for 30 dmg more w/ pole if GS has 0.4 sec atk spd more than polearm then its way much better because (i have no idea how much % that is someone calculate it please i dont want to~~~~~~~)

i cant believe this i always thought atk is better, but 1 attack = dmg ...? please

i wonder how many people actually knew it(probably lots) but no1 ever mentions how useless attack is

I see this weapon with 2 crit stats built into it. Surely this doesn't mean that you're going to gain +102 P.Crit...

I've looked in the mechanics section of the forums and found this explanation from Organic:

ok ive hit level 40 but im still using a lvl 30 blue spear, should i wait till lv 45 or so to spend my money on a lvl 45 spear or just buy a green/blue lvl 40 spear ? opinions plz people. btw i rly like some of the new stuff i got at lvl 40 :)
