Just wanted to say hi, didn't even know there was a newbie forum =)
I'm a level 11 Templar, and loving Aion. I'm pretty new to the MMO world, its cool to see such a strong community.

any ways i hope to be a productive member here at aionsource.

I serve full time for the Army. I'm currently overseas In Iraq for about a month longer, then i will return to Texas.
I got 4 other friends over here to start playing, im trying to get them to register on this forum. We plan to start a guild very soon.

I'm fresh out of a WoW stint in which I became truly enamored with PvP, of course the old problem of not having a soul to level with, lack of realistic economy, etc, quickly turned me sour to the game again. I've been hearing great things about Aion and would love to give it a go but need to find a friendly group of gamers, preferably U.S. West/ Mountain time, to run with and show me the ropes.

I am thinking of going Eylos Chanter. Gimme a buzz on this forum to set up a meet!

Hey all, I decided to get Aion the other day so now I'm here. I have decided to play a Chanter(E) as I couldn't get past the back mullet :/.

I have maxed out chars in EQ1(BST), EQ2(Warden), FFXI(Dragoon), Guild Wars(Monk), DAoC(Friar), and played AO, AoC, WoW, SoR, EO, UO, HL, PSU, CoH/CoV, War, And more. Basically, I've been playing MMOs since a little before EQ1 came out. My preference has usually been front line healers. BST = Monk:melee+Shaman:healer, Warden:Healer-Melee Spec, Dragoon:Melee with a pet that can heal, Monk:healer with War subbed, Friar:Front Line Healer.

I have read that Chanters are very much like the old DAoC Friars so I'm quite excited. I got to level 10 last night and became a Chanter. Levels 1-10 SUCKED!... Always what I hated about "Sub-Class" style games. I can tell you that level 1-9 was not anything like a level 10 Chanter. Now obviously I dont know what level 10+ chanter is like but I have high hopes.

Thats pretty much it really. If you see me: Krobie running around, say hi.

Oh yea, I'm not big on "strict" "Guilds" (think they are called legions in this game). So, If your interested in a foul mouthed, seasoned veteran that knows how to follow instructions (for raids etc) then feel free to hit me up. Cool name/cloaks are a must :P. Also my buddy Neela(SpiritMaster) started playing with me as well. Hes got pretty much the same resume as I do except he has a maxed WoW char insted of a maxed EQ2 Char. We would perfer to be in the same "Legion" (did i get that right?) if possible.

I've been playing Aion since closed beta and I really like it. I'm able to ignore most of the issues that still reside within the game and I don't like it when people get impatient with the game staff.

Hey everybody. Excuse my forum name, I tried five of my usual user names and none worked so beyond that, I wasn't feeling all that creative as I just want to look around these forums, but even more so, I want the download to finish so I can start playing! hehe

I'm new to Aion, waiting for the updates to finish so I can start playing. I've played WoW for the past five years and before that, SWG, CoH, and FFXI. So I'm not exactly brand new to the world of MMO's, but I also don't really have any exact expectations for Aion other than the theme which I already love. I don't care if it's like or not like WoW or other MMO's, I have to admit that they all have their own good and bad parts and that the combination of differences between them could make something that was bad in WoW, good for Aion - the reverse is also true.

In Aion, I am planning to play a Templar. I have seen that they're somewhat of a tank build so I'm looking forward to that, but more than anything I love the flavor. I can't wait to start playing.

I'm a MMO junkie, constantly trying out any MMO I can get my hands on.

Some MMOs I've played are Runescape, Phantasy Star Online, Asherons Call, Aion, Champions Online, Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Final Fantasy XI, EVE, Silkroad, Everquest and Maplestory.

Most of my time is spent playing MMOs, and if I am not playing an MMO I am probably working out, doing homework, hanging out with my friends, and getting my weekly dose of manga.

I ended up canceling my preorder for Aion, just cause I got a bit nervous and wasn't sure if I wanted to invest my time and money into Aion yet. I ended up getting CO, which was an overall decent game, but it just lacked the MMO feel to it. I went back to WoW for a month or so got bored again, while checking up on Aion every now and then. I am hearing that NCsoft is actually banning a lot of gold spammers and botters and so far no servers have been shutdown like in AoC and WAR.

I really wanna try out Aion again cause I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about it.

So if anyone knows someone that quit Aion and doesn't want their account let me know (PM me). I have an 80 Paladin and 80 DK in WoW and I'd be willing to trade my WoW account for an Aion account.

Hopefully, I'll be playing Aion soon and posting here more often! :jealous:

I heard a lot about this website and the forums so I decided to give it a try. It looks very promising actually!

Well let me give you a short introduction,

My name is Sander and I am 18 years old, I study IT in Holland. A few times a week I get the chance to play Aion online with some friends. I really like it.

My character is a Ranger, in the beginning I felt weak and wanted to change class but now I got some critical gear its getting more fun. For the people interested, I play on Gorgos (EU) and my level is 25 =)

So, new to the forum-life of AionSource, though not quite that new to the game itself, I've recently rolled an Elyos on Lumiel, after an incident Asmo side that somewhat blindsided me, I decided it'd probably be best if I started fresh. Big on RP and PVP, both, though likely the latter being the larger part of my interests until I can find some people to actually RP with. ;)

Essentially, it all boils down to...'sup forumgoers? :suave:

Will be starting aion tonight and putting Wow on the back burner for a bit. Got a quick server question though. I live in western canada and would like a server based on MST or PST. What would be a good server that would work for me. Also are the servers different from another or all West or East servers equal other then population?

I'm 27, female, and I have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Digital Media Illustration and at my day job, I do graphic/web design.

I love games and play on PC, PS3 *ps2 & 1 still too* SNES, DS & PSP.
I love digital painting, sketching, reading *fantasy/horror/scifi/mystery*, I love horror movies *zombies are my fav*, tattoos, piercings.
I have two ferrets *Athena & Loki*.

So far I'm loving Aion, I have a lvl 14 Asmodian Cleric and a lvl 13 Elyos Sorcerer.

I must say I'm loving my cleric more, I love the look of the Asmos and as a first time ever cleric, I really like helping random ppl out, doing run by healing and buffing. I play after work and til the wee hours on the weekends.

I need to find a group that is laid back, I love doing the PVE , and looking forward to PVP when I get to that stage.
I'm in not in a rush to get there though.

Not really sure on what to put in an intro really, I've never been that great at speaking on forums and stuff, but cha. Um, I'm Charys, I'm 20 years old studying foundation science and technology at Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge, England (note thats not Cambridge uni though :\). I also do photography and photomanipulation which I used to be doing a degree in but have switched out of as I prefer to keep it as a hobby rather than a career path. I started playing aion when it was released in September, Its the first online game I have bought and am quite happy with to be fair; all be it with a few little problems here and there. Hmm. Think thats about all I can say for now really :) but cha, Hello :)

Hello, I just started playing Aion about a week and half ago after taking a year long break from gaming. A friend of mine called and told me I must come back to gaming and hang out with her. So Here I am. Been Gaming since UO. Love to Heal and pvp.

I know I must enjoying the game as I got a phone call from "Sara" the other nite.. She said, "Help me! HELP ME! spiders are attacking me!" I started laughing and told her to group me when I log on. then I heard. "UM HELLO its your Daughter Sara and I am in my room and there is a spider on the floor". Here I thought it was my gaming friend playing AION.

This is Wtfbbqd from Lumiel. I'm the co-creator of the two most viewed threads in Aiononline's Assassin forum, and I hope to be just as successful here!

My Legion is still accepting members, specifically those with 25+ sorcerers and 22+ chanty/clerics. As you can guess, isn't roleplay. :p We're a dedicated PVP Legion and we advocate skipping some content in exchange for faster leveling. Efficiency! Right now besides working on gearing our new level 25's we're setting up Legion Rift runs and have done several successful Legion Abyss grinds. We have both Vent and a website, although the website is just a rather new forum that I set up.

As for me personally, I'm currently level 28 and just loving the post 25+ sin... It's so great. Sure, fighting on-the-wing isn't easy, but if i catch 'em on the ground with one of the Legion sorcs backing me up? fantastic. :D

Hello! Just joined while I was at work wasting time in between patients. Finally a site for a game I enjoy that isn't blocked! lol

I've already been lingering a bit in the Aion Discussion forum. Hope to expand once I reach the "Daeva" level. lol So far I've been playing Aion for about 3 weeks. Made an Asmodian Cleric on Lumiel and I'm currently lv 26. I did come over from WoW, however, I haven't stopped playing WoW. I keep up with both MMOs and enjoy both. Aion is a nice relief from the constant dailies and raids (not a big Alt fan).

I have heard the many complaints about Aion so far, primarily the grinding past 35. I'm an old vet of MMOs and am very familiar with grinding and slow progression but I'm not a speedy gamer to begin with so it shouldn't be a bother. I've played one too many F2Ps where there wasn't a single quest to be had and all you did was grind and hope for the best gear to drop so you could prance around in your classes top gear. lol

I also draw and have a few pieces of my Asmodian in the works. Hope to contribute some to the Creative Corner at a later date, as well as do some work of other classes. I might even draw some Pidg... I mean Elyos as well. ;) (I kid, they're both pretty, and I love all the sets of wings the creators designed. *obsessed with wings*)
