Standard of what is the Aion's advert-bot, places a personal store with some item priced on 999,999,999 Kinah and sets up a Store note with the link to his website and pricing. More annoying versions of this include shouting "HEY!" or "hi" every 30 seconds.

Something new I've noticed, apparently the Merchants come in teams with Helpers now. Helper's only purpose is to look pretty and attract attention by jumping a lot near the Merchant.

A bright shining star in the sea of despair, the Hero's purpose is to make the gold selling business as difficult as possible, applying a form of harassment towards the Merchant and Helper, as well as lifting the spirits of fellow players nearby.
Praise on Sight, do this by /wave or /salute when you encounter the Hero to show your support. You can also donate Kinah, ahem...

Anyone got more suggestion on how to harass the obviously slant-eyed sweat-shop-ridden pestilence?

Does anyone else wonder why Daraia in Pandaemonium is the only one in all the land that can extract Salix Oil from a Salix Log? Or why you can't kill a Qooqoo and get a qooqoo egg? Or why no one can make Wrud Logs into Wrud Paper? :D

Seems to me like there could be a good opportunity here for the professions to support each other a little. It would be fun if Handicrafters could make paper out of the corresponding logs, or Alchemists could transform Kirka into Kirka Wine (you know, cuz they have the bottles lol). Sure, the NPCs could still sell the mats, but there could be benefits to working with another profession, or more of an incentive to have two yourself.

The answer is no. It took years for WoW to mature and become what it is today. Years of polishing and trial and error. Also, it didnt have the hellspawn that is the mmorpg community of today. back then people didnt have the mentality that mmorpgs must the best game ever the moment it comes out. they were just happy to play an mmorpg because it was either the first one they have tried and because there really was no other decent western mmorpg on the market. WoW didn't have the pressure of half of the community telling them the game will fail because it is not perfect after a month after launch.

Back then, it was a pleasure to stick with an mmorpg from the beginning and then watch it grow over the years and just get better and better and refine itself. what new mmorpgs need these days is support from the community in order to keep the investors happy so that developers can focus on developing instead of figuring out shortcut to meet project deadlines.

Even though Aion is perfect right now, it has come a long way. Despite the bitter rantings of trolls, NCsoft west has addressed practically all the complaints we have had and at least made some attempt to fix them.

1) queues -> made 2 extra servers and changed private shop duration
2) crashing -> fixed for most people in last patch
3) bots and rmt-> created spam filters, banned some bots each day, and now creating a GM team just for bots
4) 10-30 grind-> increased quest exp
5) dev communication-> ayase and tamat frequent the boards and even have twitters

This increase was due to RMT Kinah Sellers decreasing their prices on kinah. And this is BAD, because MORE people are NOW ACTUALLY BUYING KINAH. NCSoft, where are you when us players need your help? These issues has gotten worse in the past month, are you guys taking a nap or something? We NEED you NOW to FIX these ISSUES your GAME is HAVING.

From my view, and most of my guilds, this is the most fun we've had in MMO's for a long time. Is some of it repetitive? Sure, but what MMO doesn't get repetitive after a while? Now its been a while since I last played and I feel refreshed enough to start playing to make it to 50.
inb4 have fun before level 50 or something...i tried, and it got boring flying around wasting pots trying to find someone to gank. I tried some pve but its boring as HELL since its a pvp game. All it is is more grinding? I thought it was a pvpve game but w/e.
Sieges were terrible because I would crash around 4 times average per siege, and never got any damn medals. My pc is not ****, i get 200 fps on max settings. I heard they fixed the siege crashes which is why i'm willing to give it another go, I think it could be fun.
At least l2 used to be fun due to server politics and drama, and the fact that you could talk to people you kill.

The point is, I want to minimize my grinding time. I play a glad and am level 40 atm. Where/what do I go for the quickest 40-50? Gladiator is OVERPOWERED, and everyone knows it. Hell, like 10% of every damn server is a Gladiator, does this clue you morons in to anything?

Here's a list of reasons as to why Gladiators are so imbalanced:



- They can wear ANY armor type. Gladiators roll on Cloth, Leather, Chain, and Plate. This means they can have a defensive build, a magic damage build, an evasion build, and a DD build. This is totally unfair. As a Cleric, I can only roll on 3 armor types. A friend of mine is a Sorceror, and he only gets to roll on one. This needs to be fixed NOW, NCSoft.

- Every Manastone is useful for Gladiators. I'm not even going into depth on this one, its obvious.

- Gladiators can AOE tank. My Cleric dies very quickly when AOE tanking, this is not fair.

- Gladiators can heal. What's the point of my heals? Gladiators restore their HP to full immediately. ANY INSTANCE IN AION CAN BE BEATEN BY A 6 GLADIATOR GROUP. Why would you form any other type of group?

- Gladiators are necessary to complete Adma Stronghold. For those of you not level 45+, the final boss has a deathtouch ability. Gladiators can dispel this, and thus are overpowered. Once again, this leads to the gladiator group mentality.

- The Preceptor's Test (Asmo Side) takes half as long for Gladiators. Enough said.

- All Gladiators have a 60% movement speed bonus. This is nyerking ridiculous. What genius at NCSoft thought of this one? If you deny it, you are just ignorant.

- Gladiators get to level 50 the easiest. Do a search, look at all the 50s. Self-explanatory.

- Gladiators have the best racial abilities in the game. Check Aion Armory for more details.

- Gladiators have TWICE as many viable Stigma builds as any other class. Seriously, WTF NCSoft? Assassins don't even get ONE viable build, and as a Cleric all of my Stigmas suck. This is not cool.

- Gladiators have the best Stigmas in the game. Has anyone looked at "Siegebreaker"? This Stigma ignores all armor classes, and does a bonus when the user has a weapon equipped (check the Stigma details for proof of this).
Let's look at this more closely:
16-20 damage to a single target
With the armor ignore bonus (yes, this does a BONUS when ignoring armor), it does 2050, approximately. When you include the PVP bonus (The text that says "Castle Gates" is mistranslated, it's supposed to say "Opposing faction"), you end up with 6000+ damage on a single hit. This ability does NOT get reduced in PvP like normal abilities. I get one shotted by it EVERY TIME I fight a Gladiator.
It's rumored that this occurred after yesterday's patch. Does anyone have a confirmation?
