Alright since I know Aion has Free Flight, and we can use it anywhere? And The Abyss is a highly dagerous place filled with stuff that'll WTFPWN you. Can you just use freeflight fly straight over The Abyss and loot rare items? And if not, doesn't that mean that Free Flight doesn't exist..?

Tell me if I got my facts straight or not =]

More than angels fly as far as ive seen and i have heard somewhere that it will be certain disadvantages attacking from the sky rather than from the ground. Mutch like there will be when being kd´ed ,but then again who knows right?

Yes, there is completely free flight. Though, like Tranquility said, there are certainly a large amount of foes to be found in the sky, as well as on the land, so it is very unlikely a newbie will be able to survive flying through the most dangerous locations of the world.

Further, there is always the possibility that the location will have a "barrier" of sorts, that just will not allow a person travel there unless they are of a certain power or level, thus slightly taking away the "free" from free flight, I suppose.

They simply HAVE to put in aerial mobs. Perhaps if they introduce rogue flying npcs that hide in clouds over the abyss and swoop in. Make them invisible until they attack and have them attack those of low level to avoid the problem of low levels going there. YEY

As you level up your awareness increases and allows you to see them. Thus letting those of higher level plan strategies instead of getting ganked by a group of invisible enemies.

Well, there is always the possibility of monsters being able to shoot above them if they are archers/mages or something

Besides that, most of the pvp will occur there, leaving little or no chance of a low-lvl crossing it unseen by all the other players.

Plus, who said there won't be strong, powerful monsters guarding the phat l00t? Methinks it'd be mighty tough for a newbie to swoop down, grab the loot, and swoop away without getting OMGWTFPWN'D.

Who says the Abyss is an actual physical place you can fly over, then out of to safety? What if it's an alternate dimension that you get trapped in? You could fly around it, but you'd probably get killed. Not like you could "escape" it at will.

At least, I hope the Abyss is a crazy hard area to survive in. I'd live in it, solo in it, and never leave it.
