Expansion?

Okay, right.. I'm new here, and pretty excited about the game.
I see that it's called AION: The Tower Of Eternity, and by the means of that, i'd say, that it would be.. The first in the line? Am i right?
Any plans about a following game? An up-runner?
I must excuse myself, if this thread is made before mine.

I think thats just the name. I couldn't tell you for sure though.

Well we haven't heard anything about a separate game, but expansions wouldn't be surprising. I would guess they have some general ideas where they're going with it, but at this point I'm sure all that could change. It also depends on how successful Aion is

Btw, threads like this belong in the general discussion forum

I say we wait and see. The subtitle "Tower of Eternity" does imply something else. How about "Skyscraper of Doom?"

Yep, Tower of Eternity is just the first in a line. The next planned expansion is titled 'Aion: High Rise of Bagels.' It promises to add a completely new layer of breakfast related depth never before seen in any video game, ever. I'm more excited about Bagels than I am about Eternity.

Hops I didn't break the sarcasm detector there.

i prefer a perfect game rather then a dodgy one coming out with expansions..

expansions are the developers way of saying "oh damn we did a bad job and everyone is getting bored so to keep our customers paying us lets bring out an expansion"

well thats not always the case but sometimes ^^

anyways ill get to my point, id rather aion be the perfect game rather then it be dodgy and keep coming out with expansions

by the way isnt it a little early to be talking about expansions when the beta isnt even out yet >_>

Same here, but one of the devs said they're very likely to release expansions - with a high possibility of the Dragon race being playable. Remember?

From the sounds of things, I think it's very likely we will be seeing some expansions. I have high expectations for this game.

They DID NOT say they had ANY PLANS WHATSOEVER to make the Balaur playable! They merely offered an example! An example! AN EXAMPLE!

As I said earlier, I doubt they know exactly what they're doing for expansions.
No use speculating on that when we're still so far out from initial release.
