If anyone has questions put them in here so other people can answer them.
This should prevent new threads being made for every minor question people might have.
(Mark if you disagree feel free to close this, just trying to help)

actually it's a pretty good idea. It's been done at a pokemon forum, and it works well there so I think it'll work!

FAQ as you know stands for "frequently" asked questions, most questions arnt frequent just some...

are you telling me "how many slots are we gonna have in bags" is asked frequently? lol (thats not a question its an example so dont attempt to answer it k )

The FAQ should handle most of the questions that arise. Other questions can be posted here... but whats the sense of stopping someone from making a new topic when the forums are here for that reason?

I have a question....

why do some people get all "a-tither" when someone new askes a question that has already been disscussed? I mean if you don't want to redisscuss it then don't take part.

I can understand if it simple tings like :

When is Aion going to be released etc, etc., yes those answers are very clearly in the stickies with flashing signs.

but, is it really neassacry to clobber somone who was not here for the first round of a disscussion for going over it again? It's not like we have much else to do at this point but chat anyway

Maybe it's a little early for this - maybe when beta comes we'll get more serious questions.

The problem with a FAQ is that most people won't read it. A thread such as this is the next best thing.

If you're wondering why it isn't working right now - everyone who has posted knows all the information available already. And even if we did get some newb questions the answer will probably be "we don't know yet".

I think the "friendly" thing to do is simply let them ask a question where ever they choose then answer it.

That is the whole point of a community like this. We (and by we I mean mostly Mark who does a fantastic job) can choose to make it a friendly welcomeing place, or a harsh uninviting place.

I have just noticed a few posts that (even though they were kinda "duh") got some reposenses that would have made me (if I had been the orginal poster) most likley think negativly on this community.

Which is a shame because it a great one!

A couple of months ago I went fishing with a buddy of mine, we pulled his boat into the dock, I lifted up this big 'ol stringer of bass and this idiot on the dock goes, "Hey, y'all catch all them fish?" I says, "Nope, talked 'em into giving up. Here's your sign."

Smooth. I don't think I could make something up that fast. I'd probably go, "yeah. Pretty good, huh?" That's just me, I need time to think up good material.

Anyhow, guys, if you see a thread with an obvious answer, please be nice if you decide to answer it, or don't answer it at all. I might get around to answering it myself soon enough, anyways. Please don't fuel rumors, either. If another person answers the question "when is beta?" with "we dunno, maybe next month" I'm going to go a little nuts. "We dunno" is just fine.

like Ether said a topic like this is more useful when the game actually comes out. If people want to ask any kind of random question that can be answered in one post it would just be easier to put it here than to make a thread for 2 replies. Also about the FAQ most people don't read it unfortunately =/
