Maybe I should add, that this preview wont't be available to everyone. You need to get a Previewkey (Like a Betakey) to access it. These keys are given through the Community Team. Some of them have already been handed out through contests etc. I think nobody outside NcSoft does really know, how many keys will exist,

Certain conventions had them, but they did say that people who could not go to them would have a chance to join them. I also heard that Europe had it's own key giveaway process, and NA still needs to officially give away keys.

And is there anyway someone from the EU could access the US servers, I just think that EU servers will be kinda empty if you understand me, and we wont get to have much enjoyment. where as US there will be loads of people to play with.

If you buy the other version needed to play the game on the other continent (for eu -> us, for us-> eu), and if you register your acc on the us site later on, you'll be able to play it.

Also, the current plans are not to have international servers, but that doesn't mean they won't reconsider it and they might add 1-2 international servers to the selection. There are many great topics regarding servers, search for them if you wanna read more about the subject.

Out of sheer boredom, I'll ask. I don't even have my hopes up for an '08 release, and I don't want to get anyone else's hopes up either, however I did a search to see if any other areas had Aion releasing in the USA on 10/30/2008:

Because retailers want money now as opposed until waiting until the game release date is actually officially announced. Any other site probably just got it off the retailers and assumed it's right.

For anyone who may be getting their hopes up (many have already come onto this thread asking about the Amazon date etc.) the OB hasn't even happened yet, and I doubt it's going to happen and finish and get all of the stuff tweaked again ready for a release on the 30th of this month. x3

As for where they all got it from, I've no idea. ._. Maybe they're all Aion fans with wishful thinking? xD

Question: Random portals will open up in the world which last for short periods of time allowing players to be transported to the opposing race's half of the shattered world. Then,you can run around generally causing chaos, and when you are killed , you are teleported back home. However, is there any more information on this?

What i'd like to know:

- Is it possible to return home without dieing?

- Will there be are restrictions? ie can you freely explore the other factions world as if you were of the opposite faction, but with enemy faction npcs hostile?

- What pvp restrictions will there be? ie can you only fight players of a certain level, can you fight npcs etc

- When you succesfully defeat an opponent like this what happens? ie do you get loot? do you get pvp points etc

- Will there be quests needing you to go to the other race's world late on in the game?

- Can you do anything special that you cannot do normally when you are in the other race's half?

there are numerous threads discussing this, where you can read more about Rifts.

Yes, either by using the Return skill (returns player to previously binded town) or using an other portal opened from the side you're currently on (Rifts are one-sided).

You can freely explore the areas, however the NPCs are gonna be so tough, you will not be able to get through them to a low-lvl area, for example.

There is a level-restriction for mobs, i.e you can't kill mobs if their level is ~10-15 lower than yours. You can fight any players, but if they are way lower lvl than you, you will not be earn anything from them (no xp, no AP, nothing).

When you kill a player, you will get Abyss Points. (read FAQ or threads for more info on AP)
