My colleagues and i believe that aion will be pay 2 play, becauze of its hi calibur gaming designed for the 21st century it will need some sort of funding from the gamers to sustain the awesome game.

I don't think it'll be p2p for the simple fact that I can't name a single NCSoft game that is. A few of them have premium accounts, but I can't think of any that have a monthly subscription.

I was wondering if anyone knew anything yet about weapons and armour. As i have seen in the videos, when someone is using dual swords, the swords look the same, so Im wondering if the swords are as one piece of gear, rather than having to each sword seperately. Also, somewhat the same thing as armour because NCsoft used 1 piece gear for lineage 2, so I'm just wondering of how different characters are going to be in the game, because i used to play lineage 2 and i got sick of it because all characters look the same cuz everyone has the same gear.

From what I've seen the weapons look to have some variety, but the armor looks similar. Then again, Lineage 2 recycled textures for C grade + when the game was still chronicle 1, variation will come with time.

We'll the main thing I was wondering is: Does anyone know how the game play will be? As in, will it be like GW when you step out of town BAM you're alone and no one else is there with you. Or will it be like many other MMO's out there where you step out of town and wow! theres other players out here in the world! kinda aspect XD

A while ago there were announcements where NCSoft asked for some opinions on general ideas in MMOs. Now that Aion is in near closed beta stage of development (heck, closed beta was originally planned to start a few days ago), I think that suggestions won't be as helpful/looked upon until players giving opinions actually have tried out the game.
But the fact that there's a very active community team means that our opinions aren't going to go unheard.

It's going to be like other mmo's when you step out and like wow! you meet other people But there might very well be instances and zones too, but nothing in the extreme of Guild Wars, no worries.

I believe that those videos were just demo's and test phases. I think that each hand will be a different slot. So expect different slots for each weapon.

I can't honestly confirm that but i think when they have pushed on the customisation in the game it would be silly to limit to weapon 'sets'.

Yes there is. The cap was 50 last we heard, but is still subject to change.
