Death
I've read countless pages, watched video's, and I cant seem to find any information on the death system within Aion. I understand that if I went through the 54 pages, I might find the question, but I might not and will have wasted 5 hours, so i'll just ask.
What is the death system in Aion? Do you leave behind an item or something so that you need to return to the spot you died and retrieve it? Do you lose EXP when you die? Can you De-Level? Is it EXP loss based, or an EXP penalty(debt) like EQ2? If you do lose EXP, is it a large amount? or a large amount of debt? Cant think of a more important question, because each and every one of us has to submit to its control, yet I cant find anything about it. Basically, Is death something to be feared in Aion? I'd like to hope that people will have to have skill in this game or they simply cant proceed easily. IMO, Death can make or break an MMO. Death made the Early EQ1 very real and exciting, not to mention challenging. While in current MMO's such as WoW and EQ2; Death is barley a concern at all. No skill needed to level up, because there is no penalty for failure, everyone will eventually get there. |

It's Exp loss. Mild, not a lot. If you don't want to lose exp when you die, you can retain the lost exp by paying Qina (currency) for it, otherwise, the consequences are lost exp, slowed movement, and weakened stats. There is no exp loss in The Abyss. And there won't be any in PvP'ing.

When you die, you lose 5% of your xp, however there is no De-leveling. Also, you get Death Penaulty for a short period of time (negative effects). If you die and cant revive yourself (with specific stones or with help of a priest) you will return to a rez shrine. There will be an NPC near the shrine, you can remove the DP for money. There is no durability for armors, you dont need to worry about that. There is no xp-loss and DP in Abyss. Resurrection, the philosophy behind it is a great matter for the devs, the reasons you can revive will be answered during the game. Edit: where is Ayase, btw? I miss him! Must be helpin with the new english site:PP Hey, i know a little trick to lure him out of his cave: "Oh, its so linear, jesus christ, how is this so linear, even after the beginners area, omg omg, its linear" that should do it ![]()

How big is the world?
How big is the world?
I meen, if you compare it to WOW, or any other game. Hope the world is so massive, I never get from the top to the bottom! Stats!! Where are the class/race stats and such. Will a level 50 hit 50.000K Crits? Dodge/Parry chances, Crit chances, how how how will attributes work. Hit point goes up automaticly at each level, and stigmas to customize, but no talent tree? Isn't that kinda restriced? How will the character custimisation be better in this game than any other. Besides the look's and feel? Cause those are amazing already..

Hey everyone, I've been reading the forums for a while now and have not seen mention of this, I apologize if it has been brought up elsewhere. I'm curious if there will be a way to setup a hotkey or something to switch sets of gear on the fly.
For example an Assassin could switch from a bow to daggers with the hit of a button, that is, unless they could equip the bow in a 'ranged weapon' slot, therefore making my question pointless. >.> Just curious, and thank you in advance for any responses. =) |
