Anyone have info on Guild interface? How big a role do guilds play. Guild levels to unlock bigger instances gained from guild quests, raids, obtaining castles, raiding the dungeon in it? Haven't seen much pve content other than slaying some monsters, an instance clear and a "Quest" cinematic+fight.

Does anyone know about item uniqueness? One of the big things I can't stand about WoW, and other mmo's, is that at a certain point everyone looks the same and uses the same equipment. Do you think they will implement singular weapons/armor/trinkets where there is only 1 specific item in the game? "I'm the only one in the game with the two bladed sword of killing", "Oh yeah, well my breastplate is the only like it in the game" Of course they will have specific graphics to each that cannot be duplicated so that people know it's one of a kind.

I read on an earlier post in this thread that mages can't equip halberds and wars can't equip spellbooks. I think it would be cool if they could. But depending on how much intellect the war has will determine how well and he can use the spellbook, and dependent on how much strength the mage has will determine how large (physically) he can pick up a weapon and hold it in his scrawny hand and how hard he hits with it. Picture a mage with a huge halberd stumbling around in game trying to swing it. Missing a lot and looking very clumsy. Picture a warrior with a high level spell book looking puzzled over the words. It is kind of cross breeding the classes and maybe not even a strategic gain, but just a cool dynamic of the game for it being possible. Just like in a painting, it's the small details that makes it beautiful.

Also, a lot of mmo's have incorporated emotes in to games. They should add quests where you can gain new emotes that others don't have. Dancing is nice, but I want to BREAK DANCE!

Anyone know anything about these happening?

Nope I'm afraid we don't. There are citidels that act as capture points in the Abyss (Aion's version of a castle siege) but we don't know about it in detail.

Item uniqueness
Let's take your situation as an example; at high levels, everyone will be wearing the equipment that provides the most stat benefits. In Aion, there is a system where you can transfer the stat bonuses from one piece of equipment to another. Let's say you have the an awesome sword by the name ofZariche which looks absolutely awesome, but next best sword in the game looks pretty dull (in your opinion anyway). Through Aion's system you can upgrade to the better sword while keeping the awesome looks of Zariche. As for the implementation of singular equipment, I personally don't think so, but they may.

Equipment being class specific
That's what has been suggested, but we haven't heard of anything about the matter in a while. Maybe it's changed. Maybe not. It is the equipment system in Lineage 2 though.

Emotes
You probably have seen the emotes from the vids. Although that question hasn't been brought up yet, it's always a possibility.

Note I'm trying to stay factual here, so don't expect anymore opinions when I reply to questions in this thread

i heard a rumor that in aion you will be able to swim and go underwater,if this is true...AWESOME!!
if this is not true then i probally got this game confused with perfect world since they both kinda look alike.

You've probably gotten confused, as we haven't seen anybody swim, just walk in water. I'd LIKE to see people swim though. They CAN do it. No reason no to.

I have read that there won't be fishing though. Oh well... I guess it's not the end of the world or something.

damn no fishing oh well but i gotten this confused with perfect damn i guess we wont be able to go to the deep underwater well i hope it will be implemented in the future as hoping my 15 dollars a month will go to that lol.

I think underwater is a good area to expand on if not implimented on release. I know Vanguard featured underwater dungeons which you had to sail out to on a boat and then dive down to. I never got to any personally but i thought the idea was really good.

but i think i remember one person telling me that after about a few months of release they might implement underwater combat and exploration and underwater tradeskills to like expand the world a little more,that type of feature is what aion needs to beat WOW.
i heard alot of rumors that aion will be the game to beat WOW but that will never happen unless they actually listen to player suggestions.

and another question i wanted to ask,i heard a discussion wether they should use crytec engine or crytec2 engine.
i wanted to know what is the difference between them and which one will offer better gameplay.

NCSOFT licenced CryEngine1 (this is the one Crytek used for FarCry) for Aion.

CryEngine2 (Crysis) has been licenced by XLGames and theyre creating an other MMO.

Need a few more years to create (and run) an MMO with engine2

Any1 can tell me if Aion is going to be a free to play game? I can't really find it anywhere and I would like to know. I guess it's going to be pay to play anyway, due its awsomeness...

It will most likely be pay to play, at industry standard prices ($15 a month). I think we'll have to wait a while longer for them to officially announce pricing though.

Whoever said this earlier, said it best(Too lazy to go and dig up the quote)... I am 100% willing, and would prefer to, pay the nominal, normal fee. It's what keeps the company improving on our games, and that is well worth the $15 a month.

Can summons fly?
Do the summons attack from the ground, or follow the master even if he/she is in the air?
Do the summons or the summoner gain special abilities when the summoner use the wings?

I'd love to see a summoner PvPing in the air.
