Hay, I'm not sure if it was asked before. How does the mobs spawn in this game ? Do they just ''appear out of nowhere'' or is there some sort of animation ? While browsing the web I came across Sun Online, new korean MMO I think. Someone also posted a animation of when the mobs spawn in this game...I thought it was pretty cool and original!

See my attachement (if it worked =.=)

that animation is cool but would only make sense if the mobs were undead

Hello,
I'm new here, so forgive me if this has been asked before

When it comes to the professions in Aion, from my understanding you can be a master in them all - for me it seems pretty tedious, so I'm wondering if its possible - lets say that I'd take tailoring. The armor I create in tailoring, will they be soulbound or can I actually trade them with friends or sell them?

Since I'm planning on playing this game with two of my friends I thought that maybe we could divide the professions to who it profits the most but also be able to share stuff inbetween us.

Hi

I realize I have asked this before but I still feel this to be important:

Are the Aion developers considering a way to incorporate game controllers as a way to control the game?

The last time I asked this I even presented a possible source code that could be studied and even incorporated:

The Official Xpadder Homepage

To which I recieved the reply that I could develop my own profile if I wanted when the game released. Not to be rude but I am paying for a product and more than likley a monthly fee the last thing I feel like doing is spending time writing code or developing basic profiles I just want to jump in and play.

Now if a basic profile was supplied in which the actual game developers put some time/thought into and I was expected to tweak it...bring it on. Like most people who play MMORPG's I use computers at work all day long. There is a fairly large group of players (contrary to popular belief) who don't want to use a keyboard and a mouse in their leisure time. I do realize that all tasks in game can be done via a keyboard and mouse and in most cases better, but the game controller, at least for me, makes me feel like I am playing a game and not still at work.

In addition if Aion was to ever consider porting over to the console world at some later time, having a game that can be controlled via both mediums would make that task a lot more straight forward.

So again will the developers consider adding in the option to control via a game controller or at the very least develop a basic profile that can be used such as:

The Official Xpadder Homepage

Thank you in advance

I know some company made software to control WoW with an Xbox 360 controller, but WoW itself doesn't support controllers, does it?

Anyhow, FarCry has been ported a million times to the Xbox and Xbox 360. I'm sure they could add a controller feature, but not many people in Korea care about it (from what I can tell). Don't get your hopes up too high.

thanks

now for another question (which might have been asked aswell)

Will the EXP penalty be a lot when grouping with others? Let's say 3 people grinding/questing together. Saw some post saying solo 100%, 2 75% 3 85% (etc). Not sure if it was just a personal wish or fact.

edit: nvm found the answer ^_^

How much currency to drop the exp loss? a large amount so it's not something you could comfortably do all the time or a small amount? So far this is the most disappointing thing i've read about Aion.

With no penalty's at all, its just playing the game on easy mode. Another WoW clone, fun for rejects of real games..ugh. Will still play Aion to see for myself, but I hope this changes. EQ2 had some penalty at least for death at the start, then they made it as easy as WoW in an attempt to attract more people, would hate to see Aion go down the same path. So far, FFXI is the only game left with a death system worthy of an MMO.

Edit: PS: These stone's i'm hearing about to rez yourself, are they easily attainable?

Nope nothing official. We also don't know when non Korean folks will be able to participate in a beta just yet.

@Niou: The XP loss should not be too crippling, I'm thinking it'll be less then FFXI if you are familiar with that game, and not that hard to gain back. You have the option to pay off this penalty with currency instead of taking the XP hit, I imagine this starts lowish and increases as time goes by. But I don't really know.

I've tried several searches on this, but either I'm using the wrong search terms or this hasn't come up yet (probably the first :P ).

How useable is the first person camera angle? By useable I mean you don't feel like you are hovering/floating, and when you turn, it doesn't feel like you are fighting inertia. (Examples of good first person are Everquest and Vanguard, bad third person for me have been Guild Wars and Lineage 2.)

TIA
