That is correct. Closed beta usually consists of selected members to be able to play. Open beta on the other hand is open to the public and is usually seen more as a stress test than a quality test, that's not always the case, but just usually. And although you probably think people will go head over heels for a beta account, that's not always the case since not everyone wants to deal with not being able to read the language .

Yes, but only Elyos Guild (resp. Legion) vs. Asmodian Legion. Elyos vs. Elyos (and Asmodian vs. Asmodian) is prohibited due game mechanics.

yes, there will, maybe not at release, but devs already stated they would have some arenas just for fun or practice as in L2.

Yes an Elyos can challenge another Elyos to a duel and vice-versa for the Asmodians.

Hi everyone

Ok, im reading this forum hours and hours trying to get all possible info about this amazing game (at least looks like)
But i must confess is not easy to read everthing, i just found Aionsource about 2 weeks ago.

I love averthing what i see/read about the game, except one thing: combat sounds.

I dont know, at least i cant find it, if this was mentioned/discuss somewhere, so here's my question:

Someone know if the combat sounds going to be what i ear (in HQ video from Mark's) or they are not in final version?
Or, can i have some hope about beeing diferent in EU version?

Music are great, voice sounds we dont know cause we ear the korean version, but the combat sounds are so bad, IMHO ofc, its like old arcane games.... i prefer to ear some "realist" sound of my sword hit the flesh of a mob/player.

Anyway, if its going to be this way, im going need to "learn like it" cause all the rest are simply amazing

2 questions may have been answered before but i dont know...

1) What happens when you die? Do you lose XP points or something equivelant?

2) Are there designated PvP areas? Likes BAttleground on WoW or is it global open world PvP?

Started looking at this game now that I have quit WoW ^^ this looks so diverse and exciting i can't wait to try it out

and I agree with the comment above. The combat sounds are a bit weird =P will they be the same in the EU version? And can we change them?
