You can customize all of your weapons and armors (for example you have a lvl 20 robe and you like the style of your lvl 10 robe. No problem! You can swap the texture so you have the stats from your lvl 20 robe and the style from your lvl 10 robe), you can dye your armor (maybe weapons too?), and so on...

eh? you can change the textures of the actual items? I know in WoW you can do the same thing, but only you see the changes. Does this rule apply in this game as well?

In WoW it appears only for you different. The others won't see your change. In Aion it's a full implemented feature of the game.

Yes, as Haubix said, there is a way to apply the texture from one item you have to another item of the same type. And yes, everyone will see it that way. We're not sure yet exactly how it works or how expensive it is though.

if there is some sort of player interaction beyond just grinding this might be the best mmo yet to date.

from what we can see with all the translations that jameinkaiser did we can see that it might be quite expansive to do about anything in the game

Well, it's a 'Disciple of Aion' just like AionSource is, and they seem to have the same info from Ayase/translations as we do, which is about as truthful as we can get.

I mean seriously, if they make expansions b2p then what's the point paying monthly + expansions... this is a thing that lineage 2 was superb in.

ive got a couple question for ya.

Q: are you going to be able to switch jobs like in ffxi?

i wish more games would do that, its such a cool feature. it aids in complete immersion.

Q: this whole item graphic swapping thing, is that going to cross item/armor categories?

like, i had this daymare(like a daydream but bad) the other day that i was trying to get the best armor for my lvl 50 elementalist and the knight in the group was going after the same thing cause he thought it would be cool to look like he was wearing cloth armor, he was infact graphic farming. the only way i could escape the daymare was to get back to doing my job. it sucked.

A1: We haven't heard anything about being able to switch classes, so I doubt it.

A2: We don't really know the specifics for how the graphic swapping works yet.
