Been wondering this for a while, although with ability's and balancing issues subject to change, not sure if it can even really be answered.

How do Gladiator's compare to Templar's in regard to tanking? I understand that Templar's are the main tank's of the game, but are Gladiator's able to off tank well? ie: Do Gladiator's receive Taunts/Provoking Ability's, which when coupled with their plate armor, allows them to tank when needed?

Flip side of the above question. How well do Templar's put out dps? In the video's I watched, the Templars seem to have several ability's that appear to do damage, one in particular was a series of attacks with a 1h sword. How well do Templars compare to Gladiator's in terms of dps?

Question concerning both the Gladiator and the Templar. Do either one of these classes possess the ability to heal themselves?

Last, Question just about Gladiator's: How well does Gladiator damage output compare to the scout DPS classes?

Combo system and combat system

1) iS THERE a global cooldown ?

2) when you chain combo, does this over ride the global cooldown if there is one ?

3) for special combos, can anyone confirm that you can involve your party members into your como skills?
like player A cast something and player b can enhance player a's spell/skill?

is there a cooldown on the instance or can you re enter the instance over and over.

just wanted to know the basics of the instance system

Im afraid balance issues are not deffinitive at this stage and we can't really point them out. Your best choice is to go and ask these questions in the classes forums, since people there will have an opinion, here it is about concrete answers with backup information.

Anyways, there are a pair of things I think I'm able to adress:

1) There was a video of a giant crab raid boss and a gladiator was holding agro the whole time with little to no exceptions.
2) Gladiators will have lower DPS and better survability than Scouts, most likely.

1) If by global cooldown you mean like clicking a skill and waiting a pair of seconds to click another one, then no, there isn't. Hope I got it right, then again, if you explain it better that would help us.

2) If I got the global cooldown concept right, then the answer is "there isn't global cooldown".

3) Im pretty sure we haven't seen anything yet on beta videos about that, however, there were a pair of indicators that there will be on, for example, GStar 07 trailer.

An instance is just another dimension basically within the same zone.
Example: You click on a door and enter Zone A and an "instance" is opened. Someone outside clicks on the same door you did, they then enter Zone A also, but not the same Zone A that you are in; it is their own separate zone, but still the same zone.

Depends on the instance for your second question.
Almost all instances without exception carry a cool down timer upon completion or failure, sometimes different for one or the other.
Also, Some instances allow you to leave and come back when you want to. While with some, if you enter the zone and leave, your locked out.

Ok thanks for explaining instances in general

your defenition and explanation of an instance is more like wows

Im asking about Aions

In aions instances enemies cna enter and wipe your entire party from what i have read.

Dual-Wield, anyone?

Hi, This might be a stupid question but im really bugged by it. Im a big fan of Dual-Wield, as such I usually tend to pick classes that have it. On the other hand, however, I dont like Light gear (Leather, cloth, etc). Im more of the plate/mail wearer type. In FFXI the Warrior/Ninja combo was perfect, even tho the armor system was really off. In any rate, I would like to know if there will be more classes than Ranger and Assassin to use Dual-wield as a main. For example i saw a plate wearer in a video with 2 swords. But i want to know if it will be ok to use 2 swords in a Gladiator compared to a 2h weapon.

Most likely, if you saw them wielding it in a video, and it was a gladiator.. Well than they're probaly gonna be good with it because they're a damage dealing class and I don't see why they couldn't deal just as much damage with 2 one handers than one 2 hander.
