Beta end 2006

Maby it's allready been posted maby it hasn't, but anywho, just wanted to inform the people that don't know


does anyone know if it Has already begun?
I hope all of us can play the beta if it hasn't, we won't be waiting not as long as we though. ( i think )

If there is closed beta late 2006 it is really late 2006, let's say Christmas/New-Year's eve 2006.

I wish there was some information to give you. I have been keeping a close eye out for the beta, and so far no one knows anything. Everything about this game is either a secret or no one is translating it from the Korean sites.

thats a pretty ambitious schedule...

usually the final beta would involve a serious "stress test" for the servers... so they would open it up to the general public... :shrug:

I would say this IS late 2006, and the ability to stay with in that time frame is rapidly diminishing

I would assume that the Korean product and the American product would have there own Betas though. For sure one main beta would work for getting the kinks out of the game engine and code, but i would think they would run a beta of each product before releasing it into there prospective markets.

They are not in open beta in Korea. Official Korean site (http://www.ncsoft.com/kor/ncgames/aion_intro.asp) says the same as English site (http://www.ncsoft.com/eng/ncgames/aion_intro.asp), according to google translation. The NCsoft statement is pre-E3, so my guess is they are not at schedule. Game is running late.
I expect a beta (open/close) in January/February.

ATM NCSoft is also working on dishing out the finishing touches for Lineage2 guys so remember that this is also interfereing with their plans of getting this closed beta out by the end of December. If they don't manage to get a closed beta out by the end of December, it will happen within January or Februaury, NCSoft doesn't like to go too far beyond their original estimates of putting betas out.

As for the release, it will be an International release guys, for those of you who haven't noticed yet, all the vids for Aion dealing with screenshots, ARE in english, the narration of the game is complete english. This game is gonna be launched Internationally.

One article on TIG (Korean) mentioned beta in Dec 06 (and official site in Nov '06), but obviously that is patently untrue

This is indeed LATE 2006.....anyway I suppose the good people in NCSoft would want to (and deserve) to take it slow to spend time with their families for this festive season.

Guess we have to be patient and wait a little bit more until..say Feb 2007

well, ive got my hands full with my new baby girl, so i have plenty of time to wait...

still, this game cant come soon enough... ive been in a gaming rut for months now...
