Asmodian World Prediction

Many have mentioned the possibility of the Asmodians using mechanical or technological methods to attain flight, which is a viable explanation. Some of the recent artwork has induced some thoughts of what the Asmodian side of the world will look like.

The skin color is dark and its tatoos shine (fitting in well with the Asmodian surroundings)

This leads me to believe that the Asmodian world will be very dark (Well lack of sunlight too, duh) and the the Asmodians and the creatures of that world will use biological / magical methods to attain light. (such as this creature using glowing tattoos). This even leaves open the possibility that the Asmodians themselves will have some glowing properties or body parts , that would look friggin awesome.

The second piece of artwork that caught my eye was the "Gate Time Equipment"

Top left:
Scriptures, written in an Atreian language.
Shines by activation.

Middle:
3 different colours, shining by activation
Metal.

Once again we have a glowing scripture etc. The comments also seem to indicate that the device attains power from some sort of spinning crystal like stone which in turn also provides light by a colored glow.

These "gate time equipment" are used to provide the power to the abyss gates, whether it's the gates for the Asmodians or the Elyos, we don't know.

These Abyss gates are spread about in various fields/places and are activated via differently set time equipment.

Also seen in the back of the abyss gate art is a lit torch. A possibility is that fire is used to light the Asmodian world, maybe even just in remote locations where "Crystal Power" is not viable...

1: Electricity starts to flow in between

This shows us that the energy generated could actually be electricity and not some magical force, although the artist could just have been using that to indicate a type of visual effect he wanted.

I believe the Asmodian world will be filled with different light sources all the way from fire, to elaborate Magical / Crystal / Electrical lighting. Not to mention our little glowing creatures.

Nice job digging into what was provided. I had the same though about "glowing" properties in things. One thing that keeps being said is the Asmodians get little sunlight. Its a viable thought to say they will be producing their own.

Hmm a dark world being illuminated by all kinds of different things. This could look quite pretty. A bit like a starry sky lol.

I really dont think the asmondians will have mechancal wings doesnt sit right world it would be like technology versus magic im sure they have some other magic method of getting around with thier "wings". Also im sure the asmondian world may be dark im sure like vydos said it will be like a stary night just my hopes

I think a world lit by creatures and crystals would be a good idea. Certainly be interesting and original. I would probably roll an Asmodian just to see it. Nice job Steveo, it was a logical and insightive post.

Theres an Eylos hovering in the air, opposite a very interesting looking demon-like female... possibly an Asmodian?

i don't think that's an Asmodian. it doesn't have nearly the same attention to detail as far as clothing and character design as the Elyos characters. Plus, I think they are going to hold out until the last second to show us anything on the Asmodians, which makes me furious. >.<

The Asmodian half of the world has about 20% light, (Elyos has 80%) going by that shouldn't everything be paler?

Well, in making a diverse game you cant force a faction to be pale. I see your thinking, but I dont think it will be the case.

That said, I dont know what to expect. The glowing features/tattoos/etc seems logical

hey everyone goes on about how demons wont grow wings... I think they may be baseing it on some legends.... Demons were only ever able to attain wings by killing a angel and then stealing it from them... if this s the case its gonna make the game very intresting. I also would like to know wat the Asmodians are gonna look like and same with tere world.. I also thin that the reason why they haven't released any info about that area is its alot more harder to make a dark world with alot of little light's whitch requires alot more complex shawdowing then in a area where there is just one light sourc e.

If people have played game such as fear and doom which alot of it s set in the dar you will understand the detail they have to go into. they have to make so its there but inless the light gets there its harder to see or not see at all. I think it will be better if the have some magical way of lighing the land than using fire tourches everywere, that just has no imagination to it. magical stone or something along them lines will bo cool also i hope they also includ map which the area are so dark that you have to use like some sort of magic item to light up the areas around you so you can see wat your doing..

As stated many times.. Asmodians are NOT Demons therefore what you said is not relative to the game. Also, the Elyos are NOT angels and they do NOT have real wings. The wings you see are some sort of magic spell type thing (forgot the exact term they used) =.=.

what people seem to forget, and maybe Im remembering it wrong, is these two races used to be one world. Either they were the same race or they co-existed in peace. We're not dealing with mythological Angels and Demons here. This is its own world and own story. If they were the same race, they are going to very much resemble the Elyos. Darker, a few different features because of their world and different technologies over the last thousand or so years. But genetically, they will be close. Thats how I'm seeing this all anyway based on what we've heard.
