I've given up on Exteel for the time being. It's never spoken of, never mentioned at any game shows, and the community manager only logs in once every month-and-a-half to say that she can't say anything. It's been 7 months since closed beta ended in January. I could speculate all day long what's going on with NCSoft and Exteel but I would just get irritated. If they have been making changes, by now they should be so extensive that they're going to need another round of closed beta testing.

And just why can't community managers say anything any more? What's there to keep secret? Are ideas really going to get stolen by competitors and turned into competitive marketable products before the original work is done? Why all the silence and secrets? I want the old Exteel beta back.

And an Aion beta, while you're at it, NCsoft.

If Exteel is taking this long after a re-staff and a closed beta, you know they are doing something big (maybe restarting the project?). Yea Mark, Aion was caught at a bad time for development. With all the internal crap that happened to NCSoft, who knows how much delay it caused/will cause in the long run to all projects.

About exteel... i think they got rid of the whole staff and are in the process of hiring new people lol. =(

well I knwo that most gaming comps tweeks the engines like NcSoft i think is useing the cry engine but with some tweeks to it
