Server Region Restrictions

I am sorry buti have to say this.. region servers suck fr here in AUI am sorry but tere is just not gonna be enough people to keep a AU region up.. plus wat knite said is true i have people from all over the world that i know from other games that are waiting for this game.. If I can't play with them it will be ****. also about lag proble that can be fixed make it so the MAX for a server is 5000 change it to 6 and only allow 5000 etrance to a server. it means the servers will never run at max allways at 70 to 80%, this will solve alot of the so called lag problems.

i doubt will be blocked servers.
will exist european time frame and US time frame like exist in L2.
anything that happen with ncp server will be base on european or US time in certain server.
thing like sieges will be based on server region time.

siege time in US servers in L2 is very bad for europeans :/

Yeah I hope it's not based on your whereabouts. You get assigned a server when you create your char, and when one server gets full, another is made. They need to make ways to enable all members from a Guild to get with each other, or make servers interchangable I guess. I hate playing with different people all the time though..In FFXI it was nice to see the same faces everyday~

Personally I'd love regional servers...
After FFXI, where I was never able to meet with my Linkshell, or group up with people I knew, because of the time-difference

I don't really understand that? There's always other people to meet and group with at the times you are playing though? With regional servers you wouldn't have the opportunity to play with your overseas friends at all.

It just didn't work out for me in FFXI, I was pretty much forced to go play alone all the time and well... playing alone was impossible.
Because I couldn't play on the same time as my friends, I always had to wait weeks to even be able to level because few people would group up with strangers.

I was only really able to talk to my overseas friends through the forums, because we never were able to meet online

Make new friends. There are always other out there just like you but they sometimes get lost in the tide of a-holes.

I would definitely hate to see regional servers that lock others out. I used to be a night person playing from 11pm to 7am and that worked great being on a Euro server and I'm sure it works vice versa.

I was the same way when I played FFXI. I worked 2nd shift and woudn't come home till 11:30pm. At that time most NA players were sleeping so I had to party with JP people and I actually made JP friends who were awesome to party with. And it was all thanks to a nifty little thing SE did called {Auto - Translate Function}. So I guess it comes down to what you prefer personally but I would be for International Servers myself

I nerver go the hang of the Auto trans.... never seemed to work for me........ I am just hoping Aion is a big hit here in AU so i can play during the day and find partys.... normally i have to wat till about 8pm when the USA players came online.......

Auto translation, you type in a word or the beginning of a word and hit tab, which gives you a selection of words or phrases to choose from.. After you play around with it for a bit it's pretty straight forward. Some people have them memorized like you would emotes. ^_^
