How many charicters per account??

so i was lookin through the forum and someone had written about this in a post so i descided to post a poll about this asking you what you all think

None of the above. Someone mentioned after watching a video a few weeks back that there will be the possibility to create 8 characters on your account.

well 8 characters on all servers- If we think about that with how many char. could you play for real? at wow you can afford to play 1 maybe 3chars max. at guild wars well 8chars are for no-lifers and still only one or two of them are ascended and for all mmos. you most of the time spend for one and only( the main character)

Eight characters per server and one faction choice per server is average in MMOs.

I think somewhere between 6-8 will be enough. I think that the devs will want people to try out the other classes as well as have time to play a main toon.

6-8 is fine as long as I can instantly delete characters.(L2 had a 7 day period before deleting a character.)

Well I stick to one character usually, maybe a second once my 1st is elite for my Guild (A class we need more of just incase), but I like to use all my available time to make my main character better

around 6 for the alt purpose and the fun of testing different classes, just make sure its limited by Faction (if you created on "good" the rest must be good to) Eq2 pvp server made a huge mistake whit having it open so people played both side (not fun)

whit this way I get one main and 5 alts of testing and since its 8 classes Pr faction this fit perfectly since I never really liked mage :P

I usually just have 2. One is my main and the 2nd one is my mule. Like Soraan I invest all my time on my main to make it as good as can be

Well, 1 character if I ever want to get anywhere. I have this thing... I really like to make new characters. So i make a new one, play it a while cause Im interested, and the main sits idle... then I do it again..

But if Aion is supposed to be casual play, maybe leveling wont be bad and I wont succumb to this fate.

2 at the bare minimum, 6-8 is probably plenty. One faction per server makes sense. (too many spies in SWG, not that someone won't fork out another 15/mo for a spy account.)

I like 3 =) I think people will be more strategic with their character alts if there is less. But 6-8 would be fine.

I voted 15+, because I don't like restrictions. It's very unlikely that I would make that many on one server though.

I voted 1, cuase I hate how people make mules and clogg the servers up with them. I also agree 1 race per server you shoudn't be able to log onto both races on 1 server..... ad pleae no care bear servers.

Well I'm hoping for a heavy PvP server. The normal game is sounding kinda carebear to me so far (have they talked about PvP taking place outside of the abyss yet?). Works for me personally since I am a carebear (I have an embarrassingly low PvP count in L2, like barely double digits T.T) but I hate not being able to deal with people who need to be dealt with in the rare circumstances I need to. So a PvP server where you could fight your own side (under heavy penalty) would be appealing to me.

As for toons, I usually stick to one. But I like to make others to try out different classes, to let my little brother play around, or whatever else. Heck with the customization system looking pretty robust, I may make toons just to make them.
