Another Music Topic
How do you guys think this game's music will fair compared to the awesomeness of Nobuo Uematsu? (FFXI) WoW's music, too me, was so bad that I had it muted since the second day I played the game. First day I tried to like it. I really want this game's music to be something so good that you turn on Aion just to listen to it. In FFXI, I could stand still for a long time and do random things while listening to the music.

I played wow with my music off for over a year, then after i got into black temple a lot of people said the music in there was awesome, I turned my music back on for a few days to hear it then back off again. So I doubt I will play with music on.
I like to play with my own music, so I really don't care for game music much. |

Well, I remember the music from L2 being pretty fantastic (didn't really play the game much, but I did go through the music), and I've loved the music we've heard so far. I think there are three tracks out at the moment, unless more have been sent out that I haven't heard yet.
Honestly though, unless it's some sort of phenomenon of brilliant delight I'm probably just going to play with my own music on. I might turn it off for those epic soundtracks during a boss fight (really, really helps with the ambiance if done right... get that build-up to the boss to build suspense and then really kick up once you start fighting), but most of the time I imagine I'll have my own music playing. |

Vanguard's music was actually pretty good. A soundtrack came with the game and it earned a few listens from me.

No, no, no, dude, I'm serious, there's parts of tracks that sound like they were sampled straight from the movies. I'm not sure if it was just two awesome artists inventing the same sound or one of them borrowed from the other. I'm going to go torrent the client now and find the tracks I'm talking about. They were from C1 or C2. Hope they didn't get removed in the new clients...

I find music quite irrelevant, I always turn it off within the first day. Whether it's good or bad, listening to the same loops over and over for just one day is painful enough, but listening to the same **** over and over for months or years would lead me to becoming an hero.
