hey guys,
i was strolling around in gamemeca forums and clicked on the healer section to find the stuff below. he basically summarizes his experience with the healer class (not yet priest or chanter). make whatever conclusion you can make from this, and sorry to say but i did use the words 'healer' and 'priest' interchangeably. you know i'm too lazy to scroll down and change them, but im sure the context will make everything clear. :] if i come across anything more interesting in the future, i'll just edit this post and add it at the bottom. as for the NDA, i dont think it really should be an issue since it doesn't really show anything in detail about the game that we shouldn't know but the koreans do. stuff like this are all over the korean forums anyway.

플레이해 본 소감.. Gameplay Experience

치유성 10렙까지 키우면서 한번도 안죽더군요.
So I've been playing a priest and haven't died once until level ten.

죽음 패널티가 어떤건지는 소개 못시켜드리겠습니다. 대신 영혼의 치유사라고 경험치를 돈으로 교환하는 npc가 있습니다.
I can't tell you what the death penalty is like, but there's an NPC called Spirit Healer who will allow you to exchange the experience loss for money.

사제라고 해서 힐만하는 그런 클레스라고 보시면 큰 오산입니다..
It would be a big mistake to think of the Priest as a class that only heals...

마법스킬도 치유성 전직전까지 2개가 있고, 근접 스킬 1개, 힐 스킬 2개가 있습니다.
Priests have two offensive spells, one melee skill, and two healing spells before they go through class transfer.

법사보다는 들하지만 전사, 정찰사 보다는 데미지가 들하지만
Although not as strong as a Mage or a Scout,

많이 딸리는 건 아닙니다. 몸빵도 어느 정도 되고요.
they don't seem to lack much. They can take hits as well to a certain extent.

힐하는데도 캐스팅 속도가 생각보다 짧아서 죽기 직전에도 힐로 살아날 수 있습니다.
Casting time for heals is also pretty quick; it's possible to barely escape death by healing at the last minute.

대체로 엠이 차는 속도도 빠르고, 사냥하는데 크게 지루하다는 생각은 안드는군요.
Mana regeneration is also pretty fast, and leveling up didn't feel that boring either.

레벨업도 10까지 시엄시엄했는데도 불구하고 5시간 가량 걸리더군요. 중간에 좀 삽질좀 하느라..;;
I took my time leveling and it took me five hours to get to ten. I was screwing around a lot so..;;

퀘스트 또한 방대합니다. 퀘스트 다 하고 지나가지 않아도 충분히 렙업이 가능하고,
There's also a plentiful amount of quests. You can skip a few quests and still level up pretty well,

그냥 일반 사냥만으로도 렙업이 가능합니다.
and you can simply grind to level up as well.

아직 여러 버그들이 보이고 약간 불안감이 없지않아 있지만.
There are a few bugs and the game doesn't seem perfect yet,

생각보다 완성도가 높다고 볼 수있습니다.
but the amount of completion is above expectations.

또한 전직하러 엘리시움으로 가는데 직접 보시면 입이 떡 벌어집니다.
It also made my jaws drop when I went to Elysium(probably means to say Sanctum) to finish my class transfer.

정말 멋지게 잘되있고, 제 2의 아덴성이라고 봐도 될듯합니다.
It's done very nicely, you could call it the second Aden castle.

플레이를 하면서 리니지 시리즈를 한다는 생각보단 와우와 비슷하다는 느낌을 많이 받았고요.
Comparatively, it felt closer to WoW than Lineage series.

불편한 점이 있다면,와우에 적응되있어서 그런지.. 이동 방향키, 시점전환이 좀 불편했습니다.
I had a bit of trouble getting used to the controls and camera though.

아. 그리고 하드웨어적인 것은 q6600 + 2G + 8600GTS에서 1280x1024 안티2배속에 풀옵으로 돌려도 거뜬합니다.

Lol, awesome info. Thank again. Wish I had his computer. Mine balks at Crysis, only wants to run it on the lowest settings. Time for an upgrade...but I just bought a car!

Q6600? I wonder if Aion enables the quad-core processor to take advantage. It would be awesome.

I think everyones computer craps out with Crysis. I'm running a Q6600 quad, 4gb of ram, and a 640mb 8800GTS and crysis gave me about 20 fps with settings on high (not very high) and no AA.

The only part I needed to hear from this was the "leveling isn't boring" part.

IIRC the cyrsis engine allows for 2 threads so even an old P4 with hyper threading should see a performance bonus. So it goes to follow that Aion should have the ability to utilize 2 cores but I doubt 4.

The CRYSIS engine (CryENGINE2) supports multiple cores, but I don't think the Far Cry engine (CryENGINE1) does.

Whut? I have the same graphics card as you but half the cores and RAM, and the Crysis engine runs damn near perfectly on my computer.
