NCsoft has announced that the next phase of closed beta test will take place on the 3rd and 4th of November with 400 participants.
NCsoft has also revealed that the tests that took place on the 27th and 28th of October showed immense success with 97% participation rate and “not a single instance of server failure.”
The next set of tests on the 3rd and 4th of November will focus on player communications and raise the level cap to 15. Additional 200 participants will be selected, making the total number of testers 400.
The third set of tests on the 17th and the 18th will have a total of 1,000 testers.

NCsoft has recently released some screenshots of the Asmodian landscape. A demo version that allows players to experience RvR through “direct portal”(a portal that allows each race to access each other's territory) will be featured at G-Star 2007.

지난 첫 아이온 베타테스트도 고객님의 열정적인 성원과 참여로 인해 잘 마무리 되었습니다. 다시 한번 깊은 감사드립니다.
We are grateful to all the players who participated in the test.

이번 테스트 동안 테스터 여러분이 성심성의껏 문의 주신 건의 및 질문에 대해 아이온 개발팀에서 직접 답변 드리도록 하겠습니다.
The Aion Development Team will be answering the frequently asked questions submitted during the test.
[UI]


Q. 아이온의 월드가 아름다워 이리저리 둘러보는데, 마우스를 이용한 시점 전환 반응이 느린 것 같습니다. 갑갑해요~ 속도 조정할 수 있는 옵션 추가해줄수는 없나요?
Q. The camera controls seem a bit sluggish (mouse). Is it possible to add an option to modify the sensitivity?

DEV : 마우스 반응과 관련해서는 크게 두 가지로 판단하고 있습니다.
DEV:
We think there are two main reasons for problems relating to mouse response.

첫째, 최적화가 완전히 진행되지 않아 고객님의 플레이 환경에 따라 반응 속도가 다소 차이가 날 수 있습니다. 이 부분은 현재 개선 작업 중 입니다.
First, the optimization process isn’t yet complete and this may cause a bit of problem depending on your computer specs. This is being worked on.

둘째, 개인별 선호에 따른 느낌의 차이입니다. 그래서 아이온에서는 마우스 반응 속도도 직접 조절할 수 있는 안도 고려 중에 있습니다. 참고해 주세요.
Second, it may be due to personal preference. We’re considering whether to add an option to change the mouse sensitivity.

이외에도 개인 선호나 취향에 맞게 조절할 수 있도록 다양한 옵션을 추가할 예정입니다.
We’re also planning on adding many options to allow players to customize the controls according to their preference.



Q. '지도' 화면이 너무 커서 화면을 많이 가립니다. '지도' 화면을 '확대/축소' 할 수 있게 해서 열어 놓고, 보면서 플레이할 수 없을까요?
Q. The “map” window seems too big. Wouldn’t it be better to make the map resizable so we can play with the map minimized?

DEV : 현재 다양안 안을 준비하고 있습니다. 안 중에서 편하고, 쉽게 위치 정보를 확인할 수 있는 안으로 고렵하겠습니다.
DEV: We’re working on various options for this. We’ll make it so it’s easy and convenient for the players to confirm their location.

Q. 몬스터를 타겟하면 바닥에만 동그랗게 보여서, 타겟을 했는지 확인을 하기 어려운 상황이 많습니다. 잘 보이게는 할 수는 없나요?
Q. The only indicator that a target is selected is the little circle below the target, making it difficult to determine whether the target is selected or not. Could you make it more visible?

DEV : 역시 예리한 아이온 테스터 여러분의 눈은 피할 수가 없네요. ^^ 저희도 수정을 하려고 고려하고 있었던 사항입니다. 개선토록 하겠습니다.
DEV: We’re planning to get this fixed.


Q. 아이템 먹는 것은 좋은데, 자동 루팅(Shift 이용)을 계속 하는게 너무 힘드네요, 그냥 자동 루팅을 한번에 쉽게 할 수 있는 방법이 없을까요?
Q. The looting system’s nice, but having to press Shift every time I want to auto-loot seems inconvenient. Could you guys add a way to auto-loot more easily?

DEV : 현재 옵션 추가 또는 기능 개선 등으로 고려중 입니다. 좀 더 편하게 플레이할 수 있도록 개선하겠습니다.
DEV: We’re considering adding more options. We’ll make sure the game is played more conveniently.

Q. 천계 도시 엘리시움가 이쁘고 넓어서 좋긴한데, 엘리시움에서 물건을 사거나, 창고를 이용할때는 큰 것도 불편하네요? 쉽게 찾을 수 있는 방법은 없나요?
Q. I like how Elysium is vast and beautiful, but every time I want to purchase something or use the bank, its immense size becomes kind of troublesome. Is there a way to relieve this problem?

DEV : 추가 예정입니다. 하지만, 아직 도시 안내 시스템은 미완성 된 상태입니다. '지도' 및 마을내 NPC를 통한 안내 또는 퀘스트를 통한 안내 등 여러 가지 방안으로 고려되고 있습니다. 가장 좋은 안으로 추가하겠습니다.
DEV: We’re planning to elaborate. The city guide is not yet complete. We’re considering adding NPCs and quests to help players get around within the city. We’ll do what’s best for the game.

[Skill]


Q. 처음에 채집 숙련치를 올리기 너무 어려워요. 특히 중간에 철광석 모으는 퀘스트 는 하려면 너무 힘드네요. 설마 지금 이대로 쭈우욱~ 가나요?
Q. It's too hard to get the gathering levels up in the beginning, especially the quest that makes you gather ore. Is this going to be left alone?

DEV : 아닙니다. 채집 난이도에 대해서 많은 고려를 하고 있습니다. 고객님의 의견처럼 초반 난이도가 높다는 의견에 대해서는 다각도로 충분히 검토해 좀 더 손쉽게 즐길 수 있도록 하겠습니다.
DEV: No. We’re planning to work on the difficulty of gathering materials. We’ll make sure to look into this issue and make it more enjoyable for players.

Q. 저 법사인데 스킬들의 시전거리를 알 수가 없어요. 스킬 툴팁에서 알 수 있어야 하는거 아닌가요?
Q. There’s no way to tell the effective range of spells for mages. Shouldn’t it tell you in the skill tool tip?

DEV : 맞아요, 현재 툴팁 관련 사항에 대해서는 계속해서 수정 중에 있습니다. ^^
Dev: Yes, we’re still working on it.


[PC]


Q. 지금도 나름 다양하게 캐릭터를 꾸밀 수 있는데, 특히 '호피' 문신이 마음에 듭니다. 하지만 좀 더 다양한 커스터마이징이 가능하면 좋겠어요. 설마 지금 커스터마이징이 전부인가요?
Q. Character customization is good as it is now, but I think it could use a little more diversity. Is this all that will be available for character customization?

DEV : 아닙니다. 지금 공개된 커스터마이징은 아이온 베타테스트버전으로 최소한의 커스터마이징만 적용된 것입니다. 이후에는 얼굴뿐 아니라 체형(체격) 등 다양한 부분까지 변경 할 수 있을 것입니다.
DEV: No. There is only a minimum amount of customization available for the beta version. Later on, players will be able to customize body size and many other features as well.


[Guide]

Q. 하면 하겠는데, 처음에 거점 등록도 몰랐고, 연속기 사용 방법도 몰랐어요. 근데 튜토리얼은 따로 없나요?
Q. I didn’t know anything about combos or anything about the game when I first started. Isn’t there a tutorial of some sort?

DEV : 추가 예정입니다. 다만, 튜토리얼은 이후에 들어갈 예정입니다. ^^
DEV: We’re planning to add it in the future.

[Community]

Q. 채팅시 일반, 파티말 입력을 바꿀때 '/s', '/p'를 사용하는데 한글로도 되게 해주세요. Ex) '/ㄴ', '/P'
Q. Please make the chat commands available in Korean as well.

DEV : 네, 저희도 동일한 의견이고 수정할 예정이였습니다. ^^; 이 외에도 다양한 기능이 있는데 설명이 부족해 불편하셨던 부분도 없지 않습니다. 그래서 홈페이지를 통해 설명 드릴 예정입니다. 물론 이후 게임 내에서도 편리하게 보실 수 있도록 게임 가이드도 추가하겠습니다.
DEV: Yes, we we’re planning on adding them. We’re planning to add more info regarding in-game chat functions on the website. It will be available in-game too, of course.


[Combat]


Q. 전투시 이리저리 키보드로 움직이면서 싸워보니 회피도 잘 되는 듯 하고, 가만히 있기 보다 뭔가 다른거 같은데 뭐 숨겨든 비밀이라도 있나요?
Q. Strafing around in game seems to contribute to the chance of evasion. Is there something you’re hiding from us?

DEV : 역시 예리한 아이온 테스터 여러분의 눈은 이번에도 피할 수가 없군요. 아직 공식적으로 언급은 드리지 않았지만(차후 미션) 전투시 키보드 조작에 따라서 전투 결과가 달라질 수 있습니다. (전/후/좌/우/점프)
DEV: (comments on the player’s perceptiveness) We didn’t officially release any info on this, but it is possible to alter the result of combat by maneuvering the character. (Forward, back, left, right, jump)


여러분의 좋은 의견 하나하나가 더욱 완벽한 아이온을 만들어 갑니다. ^^

though i must admit them question were a bit **** plus they people who answered them really didn't want to tell you much they were as vague as possible in there answers

they probably wouldve gotten better questions if they allowed more than 200 people to participate, and not just koreans but NA/Europeans as well.

edit: sorry, forgot about australia :P

and this seems more like a suggestions & response than Q&A. doesnt really tell us anything particularly new, but still better than nothing i suppose :P

i think this guy that made the question is kinda retarded, why would he talk about stupid things like that? we all want to know about how they would fix the combo or how would they make the pvp system go ? like rock paper siscor or would it be something els ?
And what will happen to the melees since mages and archer can just kite them and shoot em while their not looking.

why would he ask something as useless as UI and stuff like that when there are way more major problem to the game?

and yeah the DEV werent anwsering much about the question either... if its something other than " were working on that" or " were trying to make it more convenient"

Well, the questions asked are just ones that the devs picked. I believe they aren't focusing on things like pvp and high level class balance at the moment. They're just gradually increasing the level cap and trying to get more general things such as the UI and controls down first.

And I wouldn't be too surprised at the vague answers, they might not even know exactly how it's going to turn out yet :x

This IS beta people, not a finished ready-to-ship product. Everyone expects betas to represent the final shipping game. They're not supposed to, and any beta that does isn't really a beta (or the devs are lazy).
