What weapon types are going to be available?

I'm interested in how many types of weapons there are going to be. Also, are classes going to have strict weapon restrictions? Obviously it makes sense for a Mage type to use a club or staff, but if warrior types are limited to just a sword(just an example), I think that's a little too limiting. Anyways, if you have any info on this please share.

Stigmas will allow you to equip basically any weapon you want, so there's not really any limitations.

I can't list all the weapons, but there will be a wider variety such a Halberds, 1-h and 2-h swords, staves, spellbooks, daggers and the like.

We've also seen 1-hand maces and shields of course. Honestly though I can't think of anything else we've seen, but that's not to say that more don't exist.

But what about specialization, are some class types more inept at using a certain type of weapon(and possibly get a bonus), like an assasin using a dagger, for example.

And where can I get some info on 'stigmas'? I don't know what that is.

This will probably be apparent in itemization. So, even if you can use any weapon there may be no point, since the stats of the weapon don't benefit your skills in any way. Example being str on a mage... it's useless since they're not hitting melee.

Meanwhile, you're sneaking around throwing gimped out fireballs at people wacking them with your sword for crappy white damage(in WoW white damage was auto-attack and yellow was from abilities, so a "white crit" would be auto-attack crit).

Or you are always stealthed and shoot stealthed fireballs (or pyroblasts in wow-terms). And with the hunter traps you make sure the victim won't run out of range

If you can stay in stealth while fighting stealth will be horribly imbalanced. They need to make it so any damage, given to you or given by you, takes you out of stealth. Besides, pyroblasts aren't better DPS, they're just bigger single numbers with a slow cast... you're still doing crappy DPS compared to a real mage.

I'm pretty confident, that you can't stay in stealth while doing damage. But one thing makes me wonder... Is it possible to stay in stealth all day long, or is it time based. For example you have 30 seconds until your stealth buff times out and you become visible again. Would suck, if assassins can't stay invisible as long as they wish PLUS it seems that they also can't stealth in air

I vote for WoW's system.
