Assassins =/

Anyway i've been trying to look at all the videos on this game i can and i really like it. I was planning on making an Assassin but after seeing how the other classes play im really having doubts. In most games Rogues are do pretty powerful melee damage and work buy stealth and surprise. However in all the videos i've seen in both PvE and PvP the Knight or Tanker class seems to outdamage the Assassin. Does anyone know any info on how the class works that might refute this because theres no point in being able to stealth if you can't 1 hit your enemies coming out of it or take least do an amazing about of damage....

I hope people get it into their heads.. This is level 10's If you want to base how the game plays at level 10!!! then go ahead but theres 40 levels missing and im sure by the time everyone is 50 it will be fine

I want to play based on how the classes are. I think most ppl like to choose their character that way. Anyway with the CBT vids i don't think you can say its only in the lvl 10's anymore also with the new G-Star vids the characters are lvl 16. My question was if anyone had any info on how the Assassin class played. I asked this question because i was worried about damage. As far as i can tell my question has not been answered if it can't be answered thats fine too i'll let the topic die

Ya i dont think anyone can answer that yet and what mis and tay said was very relevant. It sounds like u lik eplaying rouges etc cuz they are normally an overpowered class :P i agree so strongly with tay about play what u like but if u choose what u like based off of the dmg they do rather then prestige or fondness of the actual title and or fiction behind the class then its a totally diff game. Sry guess im a geek but thats how i choose my classes hehe almost never overpowered and makes the game more fun for me also. But ya play what u like not alot of footage avail and 40 lvls missing, and if i find anytihng i will ofcourse post it here .

i c well yeah i guess playing over-powered classes is a guilty pleasure of mine >>
i'll just have to keep waiting and see like Misery said....but i've never played an MMO b4 where ppl didn't choose their class because they thought it would annihilate all other classes...should be an interesting community...

Ah sry if i seemed like i was singleing u out, and ur right to an extent. Both types of players exist in every mmo, and ur not alone in wanting ot be overpowered at al,l thats what mnost ppl want. Then theres ppl like me who end up making our own lives miserable by playing the class we love wich inadvertantly sux, but aquireing a skill lvl on that class that alows us to pwn overpowered classes and take uber pride in it. We r just usually the smaller grp tho.

Its not only 40 lvls missing, its also a class transfert.. what you see from vids is a mix class using low lvls rogue skills and low lvl *put another class here* (usually archer).

so like everyone said... hard to know how they gona evoluate.

I'm with ya power and tay. I am the type to just play what is enjoyable for me. And I generally like being the underdog. It makes victories more rewarding. Plus I always figured if you picked a toon that was overpowered, you'd be first in line for the nerf stick.

Most people do go with the top "PvP" toons if they want to pwn. I don't blame them at all. I would love a game to be perfectly balanced, but it will never happen. Hopefully the number of skills and the reactive skill system, will take a bit of the emphasis off what class you are, and put more on how good you are with it.

Lots are missing to make an idea which class is "overpowered" in Aion. My belief is that you can play with any character. If you understand enough the class and it's capabilities, you will always be a winner. Only you can make it overpowered.

If you like assassin you should be one, it's not like there is going to be a useless class.

I'm going to go Assassin, because I love the lore of Assassins, not because they are overpowered. Just play what you like.
