Hey guys! i've been quite busy with mid-terms & hw lately so I haven't really been active for the past few days. I checked my inbox this morning to find over 10 articles waiting to be translated :] Here's one of them, thought it was kind of interesting. I'll post some more later today.

Q> 요새의 수가 많다보니 각 진영의 지휘관에 따라 일사분란한 전투가 요구될 것 같다. 그런 지휘계통을 좀 더 편하게 만들어주는 전장채팅, 지휘관전용 채팅 등이 지원되는가?
Q> Since there are so many fortresses a system that will facilitate communication between the commander and the players may seem necessary. Will this be supported?

A> 이미 구현이 돼있는 부분이다. 하지만 어비스 자체가 워낙 복잡해 질 수 있는 여건을 갖춘 만큼 CBT에서 유저들의 피드백을 통해 이를 더욱 보강할 예정이다.
A> This is already available. We’re planning on adding onto this feature with users’ feedbacks.

Q> 공개된 어비스의 영상이 매우 화려하다. 실제로도 이와 같은 플레이를 할 수 있는가?
Q> The Abyss depicted in the trailer seems very majestic. Will the actual game play resemble this?

A> 홍보용 영상이다보니 어느 정도의 연출이 있는 것은 사실이다. 그 예로 실제 게임에서는 공격과 성공이 확률에 의해 결정되는 만큼 영상처럼 화살을 날아서 피하거나 무조건 명중시키는 일은 불가능하다. 하지만 스킬들을 잘 활용하면 어느 정도 유사한 수준까지는 즐길 수 있을 것이다.
A> It’s true the trailer may seem exaggerated due to its promotional nature. It is impossible in-game to dodge missiles or snipe the enemy as depicted in the trailer. But with certain proficiency with the skills, you will be able to enjoy the game to a similar extent.


Q> 마족은 과연 언제쯤부터 즐길 수 있는가?
Q> When will the Asmodae be available?

A> 12월부터 즐길 수 있다.
A> December.



Q> 요새를 한 길드가 단독으로 점령한다면 자칫 같은 진영 내에서도 경쟁 관계에 있는 길드를 돕지 않거나 오히려 방해를 하는 등의 행동이 벌어질 수도 있다. 이 경우 해결책은 생각하고 있는가?
Q> One guild dominating a fortress may discourage cooperation and may even cause in-faction competition. Have you considered the solution for this?

A> 물론 그런 경우도 있을 것이다. 그러나 이를 통해 오히려 진영과 서버에 따라 전혀 다른 분위기를 느낄 수 있을 것이라 본다.
A> We are expecting this. We believe that this will make each region and server feel distinguished and unique.


Q> 공개된 지도 이외에도 다른 요새나 아티팩트가 있는가?
Q> Are there other fortresses and artifacts aside from the ones already revealed on the map?

A> 이번에 공개한 지도는 일종의 예시일 뿐이다. 실제 어비스는 이보다 훨씬 더 복잡할 것이다.
A> The map we’ve revealed only serves as a preview. The actual Abyss will be much more complex.



Q> 다이렉트 포탈은 실제 CBT에서 어떤 방식으로 구현되는가?
Q> How will Direct Portals work in the CBT?

A> 랜덤하게 아무 필드에나 생성될 것이다. 기본적으로는 동급 레벨의 적진영 필드로 연결되고 가끔씩 적진영의 고레벨 지역, 혹은 매우 낮은 확률도 적진영의 저레벨 필드로 연결될 가능성이 있다.
A> They will spawn randomly anywhere. Normally they will link regions of similar level range, but occasionally they will link regions of high level as well as low level areas together.

참고로 다이렉트 포탈이 열리면 하늘에 엄청나게 큰 징후가 생긴다. 이를 통해 유저는 해당 장소에 가보지 않고도 어떤 종류의 포탈이 열렸는 지를 확인할 수 있을 것이다.
Whenever a Direct Portal opens up, there will be a big (indication) in the sky. The players will thus be able to tell what kind of portal has opened up without having to travel to the location.

Q> 어비스 타이틀에 대해 설명해 달라.
Q> Elaborate on Abyss titles.

A> 어비스 타이틀 자체는 일종의 '등급' 역할을 한다. 유저는 다른 진영의 유저를 죽임으로써 등급을 올릴 수 있으며 자기보다 낮은 등급의 상대에게는 경험치나 포인트를 거의 얻지 못할 것이다.
A> Abyss titles work as a type of ‘rank.’ Players will be able to rise through ranks by killing the members of the opposing faction, but killing targets that are far lower in level will yield almost no experience and points.

또한 이러한 타이틀 등급을 올리다보면 더욱 강력한 스킬들을 얻어 한 유저가 파티몬스터, 혹은 레이드 몬스터 수준의 강함을 지니는 것도 가능해 질 것이다
Rising through the ranks this way will grant the player powerful skills, and the player may become powerful enough to equal a raid monster.



Q> 마족과 천족의 차이가 너무 적다는 불만이 있는데?
Q> There are complaints that there are hardly any differences between the Elyos and Asmodians.

A> 두 종족 자체가 같은 뿌리에서 나온 것인 만큼 큰 차이는 없다. 단, 이후 레벨이 올라갈 수록 고유한 능력이나 스킬들을 얻으면서 조금씩 차이점을 드러내게 될 것이다.
A> There aren’t huge differences as the both descend from the same race. But, as players progress through the game and become higher levels, the differences will unveil themselves as players gain skills and abilities unique to that faction.


Q> 한 진영이 모든 요새를 점령하면 어떻게 되는가?
Q> What happens when one faction takes over all the fortresses?

A> 아마도 모든 요새에 용족의 레이드급 몬스터가 다수 출몰할 것이다. 참고로 어비스가 처음 열렸을 때 모든 요새는 용족의 소유로 되어 있다.
A> Probably Balaur raid-monsters will spawn in large numbers in all the fortresses. Initially when the Abyss opens, all the fortresses will be owned by the Balaur by default.

indeed that the best part.

Nothing more frustrating than consider a high pvp ranked as a pvp points mob ( wow style), i like it better when some high rank actually scares a lower rank , besides everyone will have accees to those skills and even if that give a avantage to noncasuals those casuals will get there anyways soon or later.
