Pre-Destined Flying

Flying... It is something that I am really looking forward to in Aion. But Watching a new video kinda makes me a bit scared. The character walks up to a guy, then sprouts wings and takes off, just like in Wow when you ride a Gryphon. Its not a free-control flying system? I thought we could just randomly jump off a cliff and go BOOM Wings. I hope it isnt like WoW, i will be severly dispointed. Anyone wanna tell me how it really is?

Free-Control or Not?

both. theres the computer-controlled flight-path oriented flying used for transportation, and also free flight which has a timer on it. you'll see a lot of free flight and aerial combat, dont worry :] (especially in the abyss)

Awesome, Exactly what I wanted to know. The free-flight combat really makes me tingly downstairs.
