New interview issues with armor skins***

in that latest uploaded interview part.. Mr Ken Choi talks about How your armor can be dyed and skin changed-

( basically very changeable to your particular liking)

EXCEPT the very good armor you can get endgame...



I find this very very very very very stupid..........


So you work hard to get an item just to look like everyone else endgame O_O???


this is stupid...


They should have endgame skin changes to.. that you can pick in between very very nice endgame skins...





so basically you can be unique and change your armor's color and skins until endgame then you look like everyone else....

Well...maybe its a good indicator for the "elite" even though thats not a great thing...hmm at least those players might be easily recognizable.

I don't know, I guess I'm not so thrilled about something like that.

I see where you're coming from, but I see where they're coming from. And, I have to side with NCSoft on this one. End-game tier gear should not be interchangeable, it just doesn't seem right. (I just can't explain why. Maybe someone else who thinks the same can explain. xD)

hmm , i understand ur concerns there, but i dout very much thats what they are looking to acheive. Dont look to much into speculation or miss understand a interview and look to much into it. They as designers ( i wud hope) they understand that end conent is important to people and they wont want to damp peoples spirits of reaching high lvls and getting the nice items. I think they may use a memory style to this, as in what armour u have already obtained. you can keep that look if u find a new piece with better stats but dont like the look, u can keep ur old look, maybe? get what i meen ?

i'm all up for unique not modifiables endgame armors. My concerns about that is how "after" ? i mean its a MMORPG , engames stuff gona change, then what ? what will becomes those endgames armors that arent endgame anymore ?

I don't think there will be that much ppl in endgame armor... and if they put such effort to make "common" armor customizable, that's probably because the majority of maxlvl will have the same common armor, so that way, people will try to make their char "unique" by changing color/skin.

isnt the point, one of the main design philosophies behind Aion, to be different from the norm? who wants to play yet another MMO with the -exact- same gameplay mechanics, etc. as every other one we've ever played?

We're talking about endgame armor, something that wont be achieved fastly, and something which system can be changed with players feedback if everyone starts to get em, shouldnt be worried about this tbh.

If you ask me that is something that might change in the future. Remember the opinion of the players do matter during the development of the game, if they start to see everyon talking that it's a stupid thing, they may change it.

Or, the best armor you can get has somekind of shining effect on it that prevented them to let people change it.

I like the idea that NCsoft is going to make endgame armor unchangable. It's a good indicator of your progress in game and gives something to be proud of, a trophy you could say for you to show off.

For the people that might be dissapointed about this, a possible solution could be is to wear your endgame armor during endgame stuff :P and use your fully customized designed by yourself armor for walking around town showing everyone just how different you look =)

Also i think that no1 should really fall into the delusion that u will actually be able to look different in any game. There will always be someone who will want to have thier character look like yours just because they like how it looks, copycats will always exist.
