Amazon Aion´s Release Date, my email and answer.

As you all know Amazon.co.uk has a weird release date for Aion , i sent them an email regarding this issue.

My E-Mail:

Im a future Amazon.co.uk user, i want to pre-order Aion: The Tower
of Eternity ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/NCsoft-Aion-Tower-Eternity-
PC/dp/B000WGU9M6 ). i was quite happy to see that the release date
on Amazon.co.uk is 25 January 2008 but.....in every other site and
gamesite the release date is 23 March 2008, so im a bit puzzled, is
your information correct? I need to know this because i wish to
order the game but im not going to order it if the release date is
only on March or even April.

Our latest information indicates that this title has not yet been
released. The expected release date is January 25, 2008, however
please know that publication dates are always subject to change at
the discretion of the publisher. We rely on the manufacturer release
date information.

Please be informed that we do not any information about the release
date of this item posted on other websites but the only information
we have is what our supplier/manufacturer gave to us and the same is
posted on our website.

We will pre-order this title from our supplier, and expect to obtain
copies directly following its release.

We will do our best to keep our website updated with any changes in
availability.

If you wish to order this title, simply click on the "Pre-Order"
button, and this will take you to the online order form. On the date
of dispatch, you would receive an e-mail message confirming the date,
contents and method of your delivery. As per our standard policy, we

Well indeed many of us (like me) have saw the release date on Amazon.com. I trully doubt it will be live on January, is just to short time to they fix bugs of closed beta and do a open beta to see how the servers handle a lot more people.

I will keep my coins on March, i hope it is there around it.

Hehe, March 2008 is not far at all, considering CN Release is estimated to be Dec 2008 or early 2009, NCSoft China has sold 30% of they share to Sanda one of the biggest gaming company in china. which also brought them the right to release all NCSoft Title in future. But I guess before CN Server open I am gonna have to play on US Server for awhile..

Korea, US, and EA are to be released at the same time. ;] The other localizations (China) will be later, though.

Wow, Korea is actually gonna launch with the US and Europe? Then why dont they have the beta during the same time?

For programing purposes, it's easier to get the main version mechanically sound, tested, and bug reported before releasing an official localized version (beta or release.) While the game is being actively localized into English and what not (someone posted a screenshot from '06 that showed the game was already in English), it's just easier not to release it to the public until all content changes are said and done with the original (Korean) version. ;]
